Dell Dude now a New York City waiter
Ben Curtis, formerly the Dell Dude, is now a waiter at a probably terrible Tex-Mex restaurant in New York City.

Microsoft adds ESPN programing to Xbox
If I'm going to pay $4.50 for a football game I want it on something more flexible than my Xbox 360. I'm not averse to paying for HD copies of games I could watch on my PC, TV, or something more portable.

PC Mag Reviews Photo-Printing Services
General conclusion: The photo printing kiosks in the chain stores blow and Shutterfly and Snapfish are excellent if you can wait a little.

Engadget had 10 million page view on iPhone day
Even at my crappy Adsense rate per page view that's probably $15,000 in revenue in one day. I wonder how much they were able to rake in?
With how much I was refreshing the Steve Jobs keynote I might have been 1,000 of those page views. (And I didn't click on a single advertisement.)

Where are all the Xbox 360 games?
Gears of War is incredible but where are the rest of the must-have Xbox 360 games? There really aren't any and the exclusives on the horizon aren't exactly calling my name either.

Why Sony Won't Lose the Next-Gen War
Pretty good opinion piece on how Sony and the PS3 can still win the next-gen console war over the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360.

Rockies use iPods to study game film
The Colorado Rockies are putting game film onto video iPods so they're players can study their mechanics and scout their opponents. They've already got all the video, putting it onto portable players was just the next logical step. The screen on the video iPod is a tad small, but it's probably the easiest to use and easiest to get people to carry around.
Video iPods as a business expense, sweet.

MacBook Pro Burns Woman's Leg
I love my Powerbook and I love most of Apple's stuff, but Apple fans bug me. Yeah it's your own fault that you don't notice a laptop burning your lap while it's happening, but to claim a Macbook Pro isn't supposed to be used on your lap is downright laughable. That's what laptops are freaking for! (via)

Blockbuster Leaks TiVo Partnership
Not a huge discount, in fact at my rate for TiVo ($12.99 per month) it's not really a discount at all. Still a good deal for people who don't have either service and possibly a sign of better things to come from the TiVo and Blockbuster Online partnership.

Why is there no channel 1?
Good Wikipedia definition with tons of math/physics/stuff I can't follow explaining why there's never a channel 1 on your US television.

Everything is bigger in Texas
Next season, the Texas Longhorns will have the world's largest high definition monitor at the south end of DKR - Texas Memorial Stadium. The new 7,370 scoreboard is just one of $8 million worth of audio/visual improvements to the stadium.
The new scoreboard is just one big screen and will allow the Horns to show high def video, statistics, and easy to change advertising. Should be a beauty, I can't wait to see it in action.

Xbox 360 shortages ending soon?
According to Microsoft's Peter Moore Xbox 360 supply problems will be over within four to six weeks.
Good news for those of us waiting around for our free Xbox 360's to be shipped. Or you could just sign up and wait for a free Playstation 3 instead!

IE 7 Beta 2 Preview
Publicly available and pretty decent. Decent CSS support and support for transparent PNG's. A few bugs that hopefully will fixed by the final release, though I'm not going to hold my breath.

Marware Sportsuit Basic for iPod nano
Really liked the Sportsuit I had for my iPod mini so I ordered one of these for my new nano today. I'll be returning the DLO Action Jacket I bought at Best Buy, it just didn't seem to fit on there right.

Apple ad rips off The Postal Service
Apple makes a TV commercial directly ripping off The Postal Service's video for Such Great Heights.
Immediately, Apple fans claim only truly innovative companies steal from other people. Seriously read the comments, they're defending Apple for this.
I've actually become a pretty big Apple fan over the last year or so (I'm on a 12" Powerbook right now) but Apple fans are complete morons.

I'm loving my Sirius radio Christina got me for Christmas. Looks like both services may end up being a success. (via)

HD-freaking-TiVo!!!
6 tuner, cable card, a year too late. Hopefully it'll be reasonably priced so I can pick one up if I ever get digital cable.

My Web 2.0 Beta
del.icio.us has been down way too much the last two weeks so I've jumped ship. I love it's simplicity and ease of use, but after the trouble I'm trying out some alternatives to see how I like them.
