D.J. Augustin declares for NBA Draft
Texas point guard D.J. Augustin has declared for the NBA Draft and will leave school after his sophomore season. Not a huge surprise. He hasn't hired an agent yet, but unless he gets hurt in workouts in the next six weeks I don't see him coming back next season. Good luck DJ.

Stud guard J’Covan Brown signs his letter of intent (at last!) with the Texas Longhorns. Kid is a player and will really help the basketball team as soon as he gets in campus.

Kevin Durant to the Seattle Supersonics… maybe
The NBA Draft lottery was held tonight and the Portland Trailblazers won the right to take the first overall pick. That means the Texas' Kevin Durant is likely headed to Seattle who holds the number two pick. Tough break for KD as he'd have been an instant national superstar if he'd been drafted by Boston.

Antoine Wright exposes cheating at Texas A&M
Not completely surprising news for any college but certainly damning news that Texas A&M is doing all they can to make sure their student-athletes don't get an education.
Texas is #19 on RIAA's list of top piracy schools
The University of Texas at Austin does everything big, the RIAA has listed their top piracy schools and UT comes in at number nineteen. Personally, I think students just need to a better job not getting caught.

Kevin Durant is a bad man
The Longhorns are young and have been inconsistent this season, but freshman diaper dandy Kevin Durant has been nothing short of sensational. Not only dominating the Big 12 but probably the clear leader for the overall player of the year honors as well.
Video highlights of Texas vs. Oklahoma St. OT Thriller
What a freaking game. Too bad the Longhorns had to lose but it was incredible to watch the young team rise up in a hostile environment. Horns will be tough to handle in March.

ESPN ranks Texas as #1 football state
Number one in college and high school football (probably by a large margin) and number four for pro football. Might have been even higher if the Texans had drafted Vince Young and won a few games this season.
