Super Smash Bros. Brawl

SSBB is definitely a multiplayer only game for me, I just don't get that much joy out of the single player.

Patapon

Patapon is definitely more a strategy game than a rhythm game but that's okay. It's a blast to play but probably not for everyone and not very portable since it requires such high levels of concentration. Only $20 though so if you're remotely interested I think it's worth picking up.

Burnout Paradise

Most fun I've had playing a game in a long time. Both the single player and the seamlessly integrated multiplayer are fantastic. Feeling of pure speed is awesome.

Rock Band

Amazing, fun party game that's great with three friends or rocking the drums solo. Everyone with a Xbox 360 or a PS3 needs this game.

Super Mario Galaxy

The best Mario game since Mario 64. If you have a Wii and don't own this game there's something desperately wrong with you. Great for all gamers, from kids to hard core to soccer moms.

Halo 3 beta

I've been playing the Halo 3 mulitplayer beta as much as humanly possible since it was released. I had actually convinced myself I wouldn't buy the game when it's released (September 2007) but this short time with the game has really renewed my interest in it. A definite buy that I'll spend a ton of time.

I'm actually not completely terrible at it anymore. w00t!!

The Good Shepherd

Meh. The Good Shepherd was too long and slow and there wasn't really anything great about it. A thriller/drama without many thrills or much drama. If you've got 3 hours to kill and it's on TV it's worth a watch, but I'm not sure I can recommend paying money to see it.

Super Paper Mario

One of the games I was most interested in this year, especially on the Nintendo Wii. Fantastic fun for the first 5 or 6 worlds but got really boring after that. It was almost a chore to finish off the game. Way too much boring dialog. A disappointment only because I had such high expectation, but worth playing for any Wii owner.

Blood Diamond

Much better movie than I thought it was going to be, despite all the praise it received. Djimon Hounsou was fantastic and Leonardo DiCaprio was good (but better in The Departed than this.)
