A video to run on your PSP if you have stuck pixels. I need to try it out when I get home.

DVD Decrypter is no more
Well that's a freaking shame, I've been using DVD Decrypter since I first got a DVD burner two years ago and it's a wonderful product. Since the commercial DVD burning software won't let you make back ups of your own movies, you could always use DVD Decrypter to rip your movie so you could then burn it.
R.I.P. DVD Decrypter

FCC Accelerates Digital TV Compliance Date
FCC has notified TV manufacturers that all TV's between 25 and 36 inches must include digital tuners by March 2006 and all TV's larger than 36" must be equipped with the tuners by July 1st of this year.
It may be harder to eBay that Samsung digital tuner I just bought next year than I originally thought.

T-Mobile tops in customer care
Looks like T-Mobile is the top rated wireless carrier in customer care rankings. I never really even thought about it, but I haven't had any problems with them in years. I can almost always get a strong signal even from inside my apartment and inside my office. If I do have any problems (knock on wood), it's good to know their customer service is top notch.

Apple goes Intel
I sure like the idea of having a dual-boot system in a couple of years where I can choose between OSX and Windows Longhorn.

Dell announces premium PC line
I think the next desktop computer is either going to be something I put together myself or a Mac, but it'll still be interesting to see what Dell comes up with for the Lexus
of their PC lineup.

Netflix + Wal-Mart = Love
Wal-Mart is offering its existing online DVD rental customers the chance to continue their subscriptions with Los Gatos-based Netflix at their current price for the next year. Those who don't sign up with Netflix by June 17 will lose their service. Wal-Mart plans to continue promoting the Netflix service on its Web site.
In return, Netflix will remind its subscribers that they can buy DVDs from Walmart.com.

Flickr switches from Flash to Ajax
Flickr has dropped their Flash display of photos and notes for an Ajax solution. Pretty snazzy and a little quicker loading too. I wonder how exactly they're doing the image notes now.
They've also made it possible to add a photo to a group or set, or to blog the photo without leaving the page.

Xbox 360 Official Shots
Gizmodo has some Norweigan magazine scans of the Xbox 360 and it's controllers. Thing's I've deduced from the images:
- Xbox live headset will plug directly into controller
- The big green orb on the controller is more than a button, it some sort of 4-way thumbstick
- The system will come with a camera
- I have no idea what a
hukommelseskortporte
is, but it's got two of them

Peace breaking out between Blu-ray and HD-DVD
I wonder if they'll be able to get whatever they decide on into the PS3. It should just be an optical drive swap, I wouldn't think that would be too difficult. It shouldn't effect anything else the way I see it.

Google Web Accelerator
No time saved yet, but it's certainly worth a try to see how it works. According to Google...
Google Web Accelerator uses various strategies to make your web pages load faster, including:
- Sending your page requests through Google machines dedicated to handling Google Web Accelerator traffic.
- Storing copies of frequently looked at pages to make them quickly accessible.
- Downloading only the updates if a web page has changed slightly since you last viewed it.
- Prefetching certain pages onto your computer in advance.
- Managing your Internet connection to reduce delays.
- Compressing data before sending it to your computer.

No IE In Tiger
Woohooo! Death to the browser that makes all my sites look like poo!
I doubt it'll actually have much effect on the number of people who use Mac IE though, because I think the majority of those are people who are still using OS 9.
