Replace Your Lost Game Cases

January 22, 2007 at 07:24 PM

I used Cdcovers.cc back in the day for DVD covers, but I didn't realize they had them available for the Wii and other game systems. The Wii Sports case really has been annoying me. Thanks to Gaming Bits for the tip.

Video highlights of Texas vs. Oklahoma St. OT Thriller

January 18, 2007 at 06:21 PM

What a freaking game. Too bad the Longhorns had to lose but it was incredible to watch the young team rise up in a hostile environment. Horns will be tough to handle in March.

Braves trade LaRoche for bullpen help

January 18, 2007 at 05:29 PM

Atlanta definitely needed to pick up quality arms but Adam LaRoche is a pretty big price to pay. The lefty first baseman had really come on in the second half of last season. Hopefully Mike Gonzalez works out a little better for the Braves than Dan Kolb did.

Engadget had 10 million page view on iPhone day

January 13, 2007 at 08:14 PM

Even at my crappy Adsense rate per page view that's probably $15,000 in revenue in one day. I wonder how much they were able to rake in?

With how much I was refreshing the Steve Jobs keynote I might have been 1,000 of those page views. (And I didn't click on a single advertisement.)

Dodgers to open all-you-can-eat section

January 13, 2007 at 11:24 AM

The Los Angeles Dodgers are jacking up the price of their rightfield bleacher seats from $10 to $35 dollars this season, but fans sitting in that section will still be getting their money's worth. The section will be able to eat and drink as many hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos and soft drinks they can. Beer won't be included for obvious reasons. Genius idea.

Barry Bonds still cheating, still playing

January 11, 2007 at 09:47 PM

Busted for amphetamines, blames teammate, then actually admits he just made up the story, still a jerk and a big cheater. Reportedly the Giants are having second thoughts resigning him... yay!

eBay is buying StubHub

January 11, 2007 at 08:58 PM

eBay is buying ticket resell site StubHub for $285 million. StubHub is a great way to get tickets to sporting events (a lot of season ticket holders sell their tickets when they can't get to games.) I love the way StubHub functions and don't really want another auction site, hopefully eBay doesn't try to merge the service into the main site. There's a market for both methods.

The Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds

January 11, 2007 at 08:53 PM

"Parallel Worlds is a fully hacked version of Zelda 3 (aka A Link to the Past). A majority of the game has been changed. There may be a few rooms which can be said to be similar to some from the original game." New overworlds, new dungeons, new graphics, and more.

Longhorns name new defensive coordinator

January 08, 2007 at 07:27 PM

In a surprise move the Texas Longhorns and Mack Brown have named former University of Arizona defensive coordinator and current 49ers special teams coach Larry Mac Duff as the new Texas co-defensive coordinator. There have been a lot of names floating around the last several weeks but Mac Duff's was not one of them. Mac Duff will coach linebackers while Duane Akina returns to coach the secondary and is now also calling the plays.

Color color schemer tool from Adobe called kuler. You can use the tool to create your own color theme using the color wheel or even better browse popular and highly rated themes. I thought the Orange on Gray color scheme above was especially nice.

Ricky Williams seeking return to NFL

January 05, 2007 at 10:59 PM

Nick Saban was one of Ricky Williams' biggest supporters with the Miami Dolphins so it'll be interesting to see how much Miami's new coach will want Williams back on the team. Hopefully he's got his head on straight and can come back and have a successful season and prove a lot of people wrong.

The OC is cancelled

January 04, 2007 at 06:07 PM

I haven't watched a single episode from this season. It was barely watchable last season so at least they're cutting the rope sooner rather than later. Might make the rest of the season worth watching now since it'll be coming to a decent conclusion.

Gridding the 960

January 03, 2007 at 09:42 PM

Helpful tool from Cameron Moll for designing for sites for 1024px resolution. The image has a background image grid, pixel ruler, and column divisions for a 960px-width layout. Could be very handy.

Texas 84, UTA 52

January 03, 2007 at 07:55 AM

Longhorns play well in second half and blow out UT - Arlington. Freshman Kevin Durant is an absolute stud. Texas fans should be keeping their fingers crossed he shocks everyone and comes back for a second season.

Curse of the Video Game Sequels

January 02, 2007 at 09:14 PM

Good article from 1UP on some of the most anticipated games in recent memory that were all follow ups to some classics. Metal Gear Solid 2 was a dang good game and Final Fantasy VIII is one of my all-time favorite games.
