Most realistic Xbox 360 photo yet
I'm behind on this stuff because I was out of town all weekend.

The Motorola MPx is no more
A product that was once at the top of my wishlist is never going to be released (beyond the it's unsuccessful limited release in SE Asia.) It's a damn shame. Good idea and concept, piss poor execution.

Adobe to acquire Macromedia?
Hopefully this is just an internal April Fool's joke that we're just now stumbling onto. It's sort of like if Microsoft bought Apple, not good at all.
For the love of God I hope they don't scrap Fireworks. I prefer it about 100 times to Photoshop.

I just can't see the pope texting his homies on his cellphone.

Reflecting on 10 years of ESPN.com
God the Web was freaking fugly back in 1995. I didn't know they've had fantasy baseball since 1996.

Some people are now able to read RSS feeds via their Gmail accounts. Pretty cool.

Windows Longhorn Live?
The screenshot appears to show MSN Messenger, DVR features, and Quickbooks all integrated into the bar on the right side.
I really like the sidebar concept, in fact I'm using Desktop Sidebar right now to try to mimic the functionality in XP.

Forgent Networks is the devil
Our good friends from the JPEG patent, Forgent Networks, are now going after TiVo because they have a patent that addresses recording television signals to a computer.
These people seriously need to be stopped.

Google Maps at maximum zoom
The zoom level available for New Braunfels sucks, apparently Matt ad defective yeti doesn't have that problem.

Discs Are So Dead
Wired writer claims neither Blu-Ray or HD-DVD will win because the future of content distribution is via the Web. I don't know if I agree because I have my doubts about Hollywood's willingness to distribute content right to your hard drive. I don't really think that makes it any easier to pirate than optical media, but Hollywood is dumb.

Okay the infinity part is just an April Fool's joke, but they are really going up to 2 GB's and beyond.

Forever Geek
Good site for links to general geekery. Often overlaps with other sites I visit (probably because they're visiting the same sites I am), but does a much better job of posting cool links from other weblogs and small sites. Often has good links to stuff for programmers that I can't find elsewhere.

Blog Maverick
Blog Maverick is a great site for open and honest discussion from a person you wouldn't normally be able to get that from. How many billionaire, CEO, NBA owners have a weblog where they come and talk so frankly about sports, technology, and world events?
His sports posts can sometimes be a little long and whiny, but almost every single post on technology is well-written and spot on. I definitely have a lot more respect for Cuban after reading his thoughts on things. He's really an intelligent and likable guy.

Engadget
Engadget has supplanted Gizmodo as my main source for news on gadgets and consumer electronics. Updated almost non-stop during the week, it's an amazing resource for anybody obsessed with knowing about the latest and greatest gadgets that are out there.
Unlike Gizmodo, you can also comment and participate in the discussion that follows. Other readers will often provide more useful info or links. Despite the morons that come out anytime Macs or Microsoft or the Playstation 2 or the Game Boy Advance are mentioned, allowing for this interactivity is one of the reasons the site is so great.
I've turned half the office onto the site and now we're all wasting our days away there.

Sony responds to PSP dead-pixel reports
I really can't decide what to do about the few dead pixels on my PSP. They're not too bothersome when playing games, but they're definitely visible during movies. Of course, for how expensive the thing is and how often/long I plan on using it, I'd rather not have any defects at all.
I guess I'll wait a couple weeks like Sony suggested, and then decide whether or not I should try to get a replacement.

Sony PSP review
I've got to agree with everything, especially the highs and lows. I'm loving it, if Memory Stick Duo's were cheaper I'd definitely would use it for video and pictures. I haven't tried out the audio player yet, but I really don't need one.

Put TiVo files onto PSP
Actually seems pretty simple. Just install one extra thing, add one line to the 3GP .ini file, and drag and drop. Sweet.
