ESPNU coming March 4, 2005
ESPN is launching a multi-media college sports television network on March 4th, 2005. The very first week will include men's and women's NCAA tournament games. I better get DirecTV and ditch crappy Grande by then.

Michigan DE likes to show his peepee
Turns out that Michigan's starting defensive end is a serial flasher that Ann Arbor Police have been looking for since the summer.
Update: Yikes, it's actually much worse than the first article. I've updated the link to a new article stating that he was doing a lot more than just exposing himself.

When you gotta go, you gotta go
Another Michigan player is in trouble with the law, this time for peing on the floor in the middle of a club.

Secret BCS ballots
Another opinion on the whole poll conspiracy. The people at Cal sure aren't very intelligent. Some of them actually tried to blame it on Bush.
Wow.

Tom Lemming is an ass
ESPN's recruiting expert
is horribly biased, ranking random crappy white Notre Dame losers way higher than anyone else. Well now he's also trying to influence kids to go there.

The de-Christmasizing of the holidays
Bryan speaks out about the de-Christmasizing (I should patent that) of the holiday season that's going on in society.

Young Harry, a Hogwart's symbologist fights orcs in the hills of New Zealand.

Netflix Launches Friends List
Nice to see Netflix is adding features to distinguish itself from other similar services. You can now invite friends (both current Netflix users and people who aren't) to share their movie lists with you. You can see what rating they gave movies and see what movies they've seen.

UT basketball freshman Mike Williams will play today against Seton Hall. A four-person panel (not from the NCAA) had decided based on the entire hearing record that he should be eligible. (Back story)

I've put one of my two Nintendo DS units up for sale on eBay. I figured I would sell one now and take a little more risk on the other and sell it closer to Christmas. GO BUY IT!

Accessibility: On a shoe-string
More good ways to use the Web Developer Toolbar from Chris Pedrick. I already use it pretty extensively when working on a site, but I had never thought about using the Disable Colors
or Disable Images
items.

Designer Christmas Cards 2004
I didn't think about this, but I guess it makes sense that a lot of designers make their own Christmas cards. Some really cool ones so far. Maybe this would be something I could work on, give me a little practice on something with a mission and obvious themes.

Society Founder Invited to Join the Gmail Testing Group
I can't decide what this site is, is it serious? Or is it something more akin to The Onion? Or is it a site that links to real but stupid news.
Whatever it is, it's funny. The guy got a Gmail invite and decided it was worthy of a press release. The gracious founder had this to say:
I am thrilled about Google’s invitation to join its Gmail beta testing group. To be selected by fellow beta users to help during the testing period is an honor. The Landist Society is always striving to find and improve the technology services we offer our members. Now we have an excellent channel with which we can express our members' specific needs to Google.
Stupid people are funny. (via Authentic Boredom Linkage)
Update: Oh yeah, I just remembered I have Gmail invites again. Want one? No need for a press release, just contact me and I'll hook you up.
