Society Founder Invited to Join the Gmail Testing Group

December 03, 2004 at 11:57 AM

I can't decide what this site is, is it serious? Or is it something more akin to The Onion? Or is it a site that links to real but stupid news.

Whatever it is, it's funny. The guy got a Gmail invite and decided it was worthy of a press release. The gracious founder had this to say:

I am thrilled about Google’s invitation to join its Gmail beta testing group. To be selected by fellow beta users to help during the testing period is an honor. The Landist Society is always striving to find and improve the technology services we offer our members. Now we have an excellent channel with which we can express our members' specific needs to Google.

Stupid people are funny. (via Authentic Boredom Linkage)

Update: Oh yeah, I just remembered I have Gmail invites again. Want one? No need for a press release, just contact me and I'll hook you up.
