Our new apartment
Christina and I went to Dallas this past weekend apartment hunting. We had been looking at AMLI apartments in Austin, so that's where we started in Dallas. We found one we liked pretty quickly. I got a job!
I haven't posted much lately, I've got a lot going on right now so I've been busy. Fortunately, most of it's been caused by good news. On Friday I received TWO job offers. After well over a year searching for a "real" job with no success, I got two freaking offers in one day. And both of them were good opportunities. I finally heard back from Periscope yesterday, and with good news. They want me to come in tomorrow and meet some people. Good news, bad news
The good news is that I talked to the secretaries in the front office this morning and I get three pay checks over the summer. That's pretty great, I get paid for doing (more) nothing. Four more weeks
I haven't really taught anything in a long while, except Flash to the Web kids but that's easy. I've now exhausted all my flash knowledge so before I can lecture them on anything else I'm going to have to learn it. I got TiVo!
Since I apparently have been rejected from three different jobs in the last two days, I decided to cheer myself up and buy electronics. New virus outbreak?
I've gotten two virus-infected emails at my UT address today within an hour of each other. One from someone I know but haven't spoken to in years and another from a random UT address. They were a little different but both had a lot of similarities in both the subject line and the body.
