McGwire again linked to steroids

March 12, 2005 at 10:41 PM

If we ever have concrete proof Mark McGwire and/or Barry Bonds were on steroids then every single statistic and record of theirs should be taken away.

Why is Gary Barnett still employed?

March 12, 2005 at 01:18 PM

Gary Barnett seems to be the only person left at Colorado who was remotely responsible for the recent recruiting/sex scandal. The school's president, chancellor, and athletic director are all gone.

Peerflix gets press, funding

March 11, 2005 at 10:18 AM

I was actually interviewed via email about Peerflix for an article by someone from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism last week. I'll have to check if that makes it up on the web somewhere and whether my statements were coherent enough to use.

Read my full write up on Peerflix here.

TiVo planning TiVo-branded experience for the PC

March 11, 2005 at 08:48 AM

Would be pretty cool to have TiVo on my PC and in my living room, but I'd only really be interested if there was a ton of interaction between the two. Features like pause in one room and take over in another would be a must-have.

Airbag logo contest winner

March 09, 2005 at 01:19 PM

The winner of Ledger Paper logo contest over at Airbag contest has been announced and I have to say I really like the new logo as well as the runner ups. The original contest announcement sparked a lot of pretentious discussion about the value of design.

Shelter animals slideshow

March 09, 2005 at 08:46 AM

Going to the animal shelter is fun and cute and so incredibly depressing at the same time.

Christina and I used to go before we got Reesey, playing with the pups and looking for the right one. Unfortunately most of the dogs there are either older or going to grow up gigantic. I guess people just realize they can't keep that big of an animal in the city.

Ranking the Big 12 coaches

March 09, 2005 at 08:09 AM

I'm really excited about Gene Chizik's time at Texas. I hope he stays long enough to accomplish some things because there's a lot of talk already about him being a head coach somewhere.

NFL Wonderlic Test Scores

March 07, 2005 at 09:11 AM

Look at Hangartner representing New Braunfels well. Kicked pretty much everyone's ass on the thing. Other thoughts from the combine results...

  • Frank Gore is a moron.
  • Damn OU lost a lot of players this year.
  • Fabian Washington is a fast SOB, too bad he can't cover anybody.
  • I sure would take a chance on Bo Scaife in round 7, if it weren't for his knees he'd go in the first three rounds.

Update: Here's some more information about the test the NFL administers, and here's some sample questions (PDF). Learning disability or not, a score of 6 is next to impossible for someone who is supposed to have a college education.

Update: Want information and opinions on what Vince Young scored and the NFL Draft? Check out BevoSports.com.
