The Hooters Gates
Well if Christo and Jeanne-Claude aren't going to make any money off The Gates, I guess someone else should.

Awkward Office Moments
Nice list. Almost all of these happen to me at the office weekly.

Maurice Clarett is fat and slow
Wow, I could run a 4.82 in high school. That's embarrassing. Last year the courts kept him out of the draft, this year it's his slow ass.

UT football's first Spring practice
Nice to have football back. Too bad we only have two scholarship QB's and two scholarship RB's on the team.

The Super Friends act out Office Space scenes
Superman as Peter Gibbons, Batman is Michael Bolton, Robin as Samir.
It's sure is funny seeing Aquaman showing us his oh face.

The Somerville Gates slideshow
Hargo had to take down all the photos on his site because of bandwidth concerns (four million hits will do that to ya), so I set up a slideshow of all the images I could find. I think I may have gotten all of them.
They'll be up as long as my bandwidth can take it. (Flash 7 required)

Why would Apple even want TiVo?
Good article on what's in it for Apple to buy TiVo. Seems like a logical move for both companies, especially if Apple really is serious about moving into the living room and/or a future video iPod. Recorded television shows are one of the few remotely legal methods to get video onto one of these new PMP's that are popping up all over the place.

Randy Moss to the Raiders?
Minnesota is reportedly trading Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders for linebacker Napoleon Harris, the seventh overall pick in the upcoming draft and a late-round pick.
The Raiders overpaid.

Quit Your Job to Blog, Blog, Blog
Yesterday Kottke announced he had quit his job to blog full time, today Wired ran a story on it. That should help with the contributions.

iPod mini get two more gigs
So no color screen, not too big of a deal. It is getting a two gigabyte upgrade and longer battery life. Will check on replacing mine eventually.

More Xbox 360 details
In what I think is another bad move (not including a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD optical drive being the other), it seems the next Xbox will come in two flavors, with and without a harddrive. It'll make it next to impossible for game developers to make games that take advantage of it, since a good portion of owners won't have one.

Broadcast flag could be on thin ice
Sounds like there could be at least some discussion in courts and legislature before the FCC is allowed to enforce the broadcast flag.

Mark Cuban on the broadcast flag
I'm almost a Mavericks fan solely based on my sincere respect for Mark Cuban. Almost everything he writes on his weblog is intelligent, well thought out, and in line with my views.

Stock footage laziness
An update to my exposé on lazy companies using the exact same girl from the exact same photoset in different ads. First was Dell and Gateway, then Vivarin, then Samsung, and just now I saw her in an ad for H&R Block.
If I saw her this many times, how many other ads must she be in?

Hunter S. Thompson commits suicide
Hunter S. Thompson fatally shot himself last night.
I knew him best for his ESPN.com Page 2 articles (which he was still writing as of February 15th.) I tried watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Christina one time, but we both couldn't stand it.
