Great movie. Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors and does well as usual here. Meryl Streep creeps me out.

I wish they had played up the RFID tags more, I bet most people don't even realize it's real technology.

Some people don't like it as much as I do, but I really think it's hilarious. Yeah there's definitely better stupid comedies and better Will Ferrell movies, but that doesn't make Anchorman bad. Worth seeing if you liked stuff like Old School and Dodgeball.

Lame.

M. Night Shyamalan's movies are having unexpected twists. This one had a dumb one, and I guessed it pretty early. Just listen carefully to the elders' choice of words.

I see porcupines.

Even the extras for this movie sucked, especially Bryce's Diary. It's supposedly by Bryce Howard (daughter of Ron), but it sounds like it's from a twelve year old girl.

Super Bowl XXXIX

February 06, 2005 at 06:43 PM

Terrel Owens deserves a lot of praise and a lot of apologies. Donovan McNabb played the whole game nervous and the Eagles still had a shot to win. Commercials sucked.

Is next year's game going to be Super Bowl XL? XL as in ten before fifty? That's pretty cool.

Rose Bowl on DVD

February 02, 2005 at 10:03 PM

So I finally got TiVoToGo last week and the first thing I did was transfer all four hours of the Rose Bowl. The dang thing is 11GB so transferring over 802.11b took like 6+ hours. Downloaded the Sonic MyDVD Tivo Trial Edition, took out the commercials, and burnt the sucker.

I'm going to watch it over and over again just to piss off Christina.

American Idol

I'm not sure I'll be watching it anymore after discovering it's a farce, but it is still pretty entertaining. I think mainly I'm tired of watching the early rounds and all the crappy people. You can only be god-awful in so many ways before it gets boring.

Meet the Fockers

Nowhere near as funny as the first one, but still good.

For some reason I can't stand when people in movies/on TV get embarrassed. It's painful for me to watch, I have to look away. Unfortunately, like 80% of Meet the Fockers was Greg being embarrassed for no reason by his parents.

Wait for it to come out on video.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

I swear I finished the first one, but maybe not. I could've sworn Professor Snape turned out to be the bad guy, but he was still around.

Anyways, good movie. I still don't understand the fanaticism for it by people over the age of twelve, but it's good quality entertainment. Harry is already starting to get a little too old for the role, if they plan on doing a fifth movie I wonder if it'll spin off from the original character. I've got no urge to see a middle-aged wizard.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon was actually a movie I wanted to see in theaters, but I decided it was probably going to be a piece of crap. I love Kirsten Dunst, and although he hasn't been in much I think Paul Bettany is pretty damn funny, but it's about tennis so it's all kind of a wash.

Turns out the movie was pretty good, and an actually acceptable sports movie. Outcome is very predictable, but it's still entertaining. And of course, how can you go wrong with Kirsten Dunst in a tennis skirt for 90% of the movie.

I bought it and A Knight's Tale for thirteen bucks total, TOTAL!

It's no Braveheart, but The Patriot is pretty damn close. Throw Gladiator and you got yourself a hell of a testosterone-filled movie marathon.
