Clerks 2
Obviously not as good as the first one but not as good as I was hoping either. Clerks 2 definitely has it's funny moments but I was hoping they'd be a little more frequent. Definitely a must-see for fans of Clerks or Kevin Smith's other work, but it just doesn't connect like the original did.

United 93
If you're up for it United 93 is a movie all Americans should watch. Remarkably nonpolitical the movie attempts to the tell the story of September 11th events from all sides including the terrorists.

I've been meaning to watch Wes Anderson and Owen and Luke Wilson's first feature film for a while and finally got it from Blockbuster Online last weekend. Funny and has an actually decent plot, personally I enjoyed it a lot more than the much more random The Royal Tenenbaums. Fans of Anderson or the Wilson brothers who haven't seen it definitely should.

Good movie but I'd almost rather watch a well produced documentary on the actual abduction of the Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games. The first scenes in Munich were the most interesting of the movie, but since they weren't the real focus of the film it moved on pretty quickly.
Eric Bana and his crew are a little bumbling at the beginning of thier mission and for me was too light-hearted for the movie.

Not fantastic but certainly entertaining and action packed. Tons better than M:I2. Philip Seymour Hoffman makes a great villain but isn't on screen enough. Tom Cruise did not try to convert anyone to Scientology during the movie.

Yawn.
I honestly think Steve Martin made this pointless, boring movie so he could make out with a woman 35 years his younger. Mirabelle (Claire Danes) sleeps with people early and often and for no reason for the first 90 minutes of the movie, then the last ten is actually halfway decent. People need to stop giving Jason Schwartzman roles, he creeps me out.

The Da Vinci Code

Maybe it's just because it got so many bad reviews, but I thought it was great. Entertaining but far less exciting/enthraling than the book but that's always the case. I really have no idea what most reviewers were expecting, but I thought it did a fair job recreating Dan Brown's religous mystery. There were definitely a couple of bad moments, but certainly no out of place laughter and people in the theater actually applauded when it was over.
Most of the reviews at Rotten Tomatoes are pretty indicative of the problem with movie critics. You've got one complaining the albino monk (Silas) "isn't any fun" and another that it's too long. Useless and hypercritical as usual.
Really worth seeing whether you read the book or not. Just enjoy the damn thing.

Really awful movie. It had a few funny moments, but mainly it was an unclever and predictable movie. Sarah Jessica Parker is so average. Does anyone other than women find her particularly attractive?
I hate movies where it takes people 40 seconds to fall in love, the entire second half of the movie is based on completely stupid events that wouldn't happen in a million years. Not worth renting or owning, maybe in four years when it comes to TBS.

So freaking average. John Cusack is the king of romantic comedies, but I think now that he's forty I'm not really sure he can pull off the same roles anymore. Maybe it's just a bad choice in roles. Boring movie based on a love that had no reason to exist. Skip it.

Capote

I just wasn't too interested in the movie. It was good but not overly entertaining. I wouldn't call it boring, but it just didn't do anything to draw me in. Worth seeing, especially if you're interested in Truman Capote's life or in writing, but probably overpraised by critics.
