Surprisingly good. Tom Hanks really is good, I think I forget that sometimes. But after this and Saving Private Ryan, I'm reminded how good he really is. This may also be the only time I thought Catherine Zeta Jones was really hot.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I love having free movie rentals at work, it allows me to rent stuff I normally wouldn't have seen.

I've now seen all three Harry Potter movies and they're all pretty darn good. I can definitely see how come the young kids go nuts about the books and the movies. The older people who are huge fans of it still worry me a little though.

Azkaban was good, but the middle movie was the best in my opinion.

South Park - BFF

Hilarious new South Park.

They cover Terry Schiavo and the PSP. Essentially the story says God created the PSP to find someone to command heaven's armies.

Eh, I didn't really care for it. It wasn't particularly scary and the reason the spirits were killing everyone was kind of hollow.

I think I'd rather have actually watched Peter Pan.

It wasn't a bad movie by any means, kind of boring in parts though. I wanted to learn more about J.M. Barrie and less about the woman and her kids. I guess it just seemed that for a movie that focused on such a particular period and event, it was very unfocused. They should have either told more of the story of Barrie's life or done a better job telling about his relationship with the young boys.

The Office

March 24, 2005 at 07:15 PM

A new sitcom starring Steve Carell of Anchorman and The Daily Show fame. The plot:

A single-camera mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium. Based on the hit BBC series.

The commercials have looked really funny and the reviews have been positive so far. There just aren't many good sitcoms on right now, so you gotta take what you can get.

Unbelievably crappy movie. Kim Basinger was awful. Multiple members of the cast were in Not Another Teen Movie, never a good sign.

Texas kill my bracket

March 18, 2005 at 03:48 PM
The brutal Chicago region of my bracketf

Now don't get me wrong, I knew Texas wasn't a great team this year. Problem was I thought (and still think) Illinois and Boston College are both overrated, so I managed to accidentally put Texas all the way into the Elite 8. Whoops.
