Coffee is good for you
Coffee provides more healthful antioxidants than any other food or beverage in the American diet.
Antioxidants might help reduce your chance of cancer, or they might not. Scientifically, we've really got no idea half the time.

People today really would rather bitch and complain than just sit back and enjoy something really cool.

Hurricane Katrina blog?
In the midst of this horrible tragedy is there really a need to call things a blog
just to be in on the latest trends? It's just a running timeline of hurricane updates.

Mike Davidson's MT 3.2 impressions
Mike's initial impressions of the upgrades and a few things he's still waiting for either Six Apart or some plug-in writer to take care of.
Sure is nice to know that someone like Mike has Anil and the rest of the crew's ear.

UT student charged with aiding Pitonyak
This story gets weirder and weirder. Now the girl who was on her way to Mexico with Colton Pitonyak has been charged with hindering apprehension.
Check out some of the things she supposedly said, I'm not sure how a gunshot, stabbing, and dismemberment can be considered an an accident
.
Update: Colton Pitonyak was found guilty of Jennifer Cave's murder and sentenced to 55 years in jail.

Happy 47th Julio!
Julio Franco turns 47 today, and for all we know he may really be more like 50. He will become the oldest man to ever homer in a game the next time he hits one out.

NCAA backtracks a little
Florida State threatened to sue over the NCAA's moronic ruling and they backpedaled as fast as they could. I imagine the threats and lawsuits will keep on coming till they repeal the whole stupid thing.

49ers lineman Thomas Herrion dead at 23
310-pound offensive lineman Thomas Herrion of Fort Worth collapsed and died after the San Francisco 49ers' preseason game against the Denver Broncos last night. He was 23.
This morning's Sportscenter led the show with crap on Terrell Owens and some preseason NFL scores before they bothered to mention the young man's death.

Cheap nerds trample each other
$50 bucks for a four-year-old Apple iBook isn't really even that great of a deal. Laptops are obsolete in about 18 months, these things are ancient.

GW and Jeb Bush in Madden (sorta)
Okay they're not in the real game, but Jeb visited Tiburon and they whipped up a video of him running over George on his way to the end zone.

Verizon FiOS
It's hardly available anywhere, but you should definitely check if it's an option where you live. Fiber optics to the premises allow you to get ridiculous speeds and for some reason Verizon is also offering ridiculous prices. 5 Mbps for $40 or 15 Mbps for $50.
I'm paying $50 for 1.5 Mbps from Grande, I'm getting hosed.
