Verizon FiOS
It's hardly available anywhere, but you should definitely check if it's an option where you live. Fiber optics to the premises allow you to get ridiculous speeds and for some reason Verizon is also offering ridiculous prices. 5 Mbps for $40 or 15 Mbps for $50.
I'm paying $50 for 1.5 Mbps from Grande, I'm getting hosed.

You also get 2 Mbps upload with any of the plans. I pay an extra $10 per month to get an extra 256 kbps up.
