The 50 People Who Need a Vicious Beating

July 31, 2005 at 04:00 PM

Aside from #1, Jay Leno, this list is right on. I've got no problem with wanting to give Leno a beating, but there are a lot of more deserving people. Lots of great people who need a vicious beating from the sports world, the Skip Bayless (#36) is right on the mark.

Longhorn fan survives 5 days in lava field

July 25, 2005 at 07:39 PM

I'm not sure how smart he is for getting his ass lost, but at least he was on the ball and showed his Longhorn pride for the photo op.

As we got closer you could see the man flashing a mirror and waving a dark orange fabric, she said. As he was coming down the path, clearly he couldn't move that well.

Konfabulator's creators Pixoria have been purchased by Yahoo. This is fantastic news for everyone at Pixoria, and more importantly for us.

Konfabulator will now be free to everybody, become more stable, gets a new API, Flickr integration, and who knows what else.

I installed the beta on Matt's site without issue, looks very promising.

July 24, 2005 at 04:23 PM

The latest official firmware update for the PSP will include an actual web browser. No more need to use hacks to browse the web, now I'll be able to surf the internet anywhere I can get a WiFi connection.

Sony also announced a new white version of the PSP, so if you didn't like the original black one you now have another option.

Access your TiVoToGo via a browser

July 24, 2005 at 04:08 PM
Tivotogo via your browser

Type your TiVo's IP address into your web browser (make sure to use https:// and not http:// because it's an encrypted site) and you'll have access to your Now Playing selection. Simply click a link and download the episode to your PC. Easy.

I don't use my TiVoToGo much so I don't like running the software on my PC all the time, this is a great alternative.

IGN's NCAA 06 review

July 11, 2005 at 09:37 PM

A healthy 9.2 and says the game is a magnanimous leap forward for the franchise.

I'm getting closer and closer to staying up late tonight to pick up the game at midnight when it officially goes on sale.

I was a DIF subscriber and enjoyed the first 2 issues a lot. I never took the time to sit down and read the latest two though, I need to.

Right and Left wing blogs are both crap

July 10, 2005 at 08:59 PM

And Republicans and Democrats are both equally corrupt and moronic. Being a relatively near the middle conservative who is apathetic about half the BS issues is much better.

Nothing too exciting, still looking like a pretty early beta. Interface looks pretty good, but I wonder what happened to the sidebar I've seen previously.

Gmaps Pedometer

July 09, 2005 at 06:03 PM

Like to jog outside but have trouble knowing exactly how far you've run, then try out the Gmaps Pedometer. Allows you to plot your points and tell the exact mileage of your route. Very cool. Here's the route I've been taking lately.

Murder suspect's blog appeals

July 05, 2005 at 09:15 PM

Joseph Duncan, who was arrested with Shasta Groene in Idaho and is suspected of murdering her two brothers, mother, and her mother's boyfriend blogged his thoughts in the days leading up to the end.

Duncan's final blog entries, days before the murders, said he felt scared, alone... My intent is to harm society as much as I can, then die.
