I am looking for a forum to comment on how disappointed I am with our country's emergency response to the problems in New Orleans. Fresh water and portable latrines along with waterproof "space" food could be airdropped at critical points. There are numerous and ongoing reports of lack of water and unsanitary sanitation conditions. The country has opted NOT to send military in, as there is no apparent need. What do you call people looting and committing crimes in the streets and no one to address the problem. I'm sure I don't have the entire story, and troops would have to be kept somewhere, but OH MY GOD? I can't imagine these people going days already without water and latrines. I'm very disappointed.
