That is seriously weird. I'm hoping it's just a bear whose coat you can change posed oddly. So weird.

No IE In Tiger

April 28, 2005 at 08:41 AM

Woohooo! Death to the browser that makes all my sites look like poo!

I doubt it'll actually have much effect on the number of people who use Mac IE though, because I think the majority of those are people who are still using OS 9.

Insert25

April 20, 2005 at 08:29 AM
Insert25 | Just one more level

Insert25 is one of the many sites run by Paul Scrivens and one of the many video game blogs I follow, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites in both categories.

While Kotaku and Joystiq do a good job of reporting the news, Insert25 hits all the big stuff and a lot of random funny crap the other's don't cover. Plus, it's written in a much more casual manner that encourages a lot of feedback and discussion. Really great news and community site that's still growing and improving.

Definitely worth a visit.

German elected pope for his birthday

April 19, 2005 at 12:46 PM

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany turned 78 on Saturday, he was named pope today. Nice birthday present.

Ratzinger, the first German pope in centuries, served John Paul II since 1981 as head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. In that position, he has disciplined church dissidents and upheld church policy against attempts by liberals for reforms.

Good to see the Catholic Church is still staunchly opposed to change, the last thing it needs is reform.

Adobe to acquire Macromedia?

April 18, 2005 at 09:18 AM

Hopefully this is just an internal April Fool's joke that we're just now stumbling onto. It's sort of like if Microsoft bought Apple, not good at all.

For the love of God I hope they don't scrap Fireworks. I prefer it about 100 times to Photoshop.

Good info about how much freelance designers are charging per job and per hour. Looks like I'm definitely on the low end, but that's understandable since I'm still just starting out.

All the rates are in British pounds, so keep in mind £1 is roughly $1.89 US right now.

Jermaine O'Neal thinks NBA age limit is racist

April 12, 2005 at 01:45 PM

How is that racism? Almost all college basketball players are black too. That makes no sense. Agree or disagree with an age limit in the NBA, the idea that it's racist is moronic.

For every Amare Stoudemire and LeBron James, there's 10 Leon Smith's.

Norton Internet Security 2005 - Free after rebates!

April 11, 2005 at 09:59 AM

Anyways, the entire Norton Internet Security suite is only $30 for new users or free for upgraders at Buy.com right now. Hell of a bargain to get antivirus, firewall, antispam, etc all in one package.

Orangebloods.com 2006 football recruiting board

April 08, 2005 at 01:28 PM

The Longhorns now have 17 commits for the 2006 season, 4 or 5 of them are considered the best in the state at their positions. At this time last year we had maybe one or two, and even on Signing Day only 14. Not too shabby.

This is one of the few free articles from Orangebloods, a pay site that I try to quit but can't.

Damian Moss among 38 minor leaguers caught using steroids
