Jeremy Shockey's premature celebration

December 04, 2005 at 08:52 PM

A week old now, but still hilarious. Jeremy Shockey celebrates a little early after teammate Jay Feely's last second field goal. Feely missed that one wide left and two more in overtime as the Giants lost to the Seahawks. (via)... Continue reading

My ten favorite facts about Chuck Norris

November 17, 2005 at 10:22 PM

There are a lot of things you don't know about Chuck Norris... The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard. Chuck Norris frequently signs up for beginner karate classes, just so he can accidentally beat the shit... Continue reading

How in the world do you do this?

November 04, 2005 at 09:41 PM

Had to get some cash for tomorrow's trip to Waco to watch the Horns play and saw some complete moron at Bank of America who looked like he hit the pole going like 35 miles an hour. Somehow his bumper was wrapped all the way back around it as well. Nice work genius.... Continue reading

Gas prices blow...

August 18, 2005 at 10:16 PM

...And DART agrees. You know it's a bad sign when gas goes up four cents when you're eating lunch and 24 cents over the course of three days. I swerved across three lanes of traffic just to get gas that was only $2.41 per gallon. I'm sure glad I get 5% cash back on all my gas purchases with my Citi MasterCard.... Continue reading

Wing & Donuts

August 08, 2005 at 08:53 PM

Interesting restaurant combo Christina and I saw on our way home this weekend. And why is donuts plural but wing isn't? I think Wing, Donuts, Washeteria, & Check Cashing would have been an even better business idea.... Continue reading

Tony + Manu = Love

June 24, 2005 at 02:47 PM

Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili are taking team chemistry to a whole new level. I don't know what the rules are in France and Argentina, but this is probably overdoing things just a bit. (via Orangebloods)... Continue reading

Code Red at The Sausage Factory!

June 14, 2005 at 07:28 PM

Not new news but it's funny so I thought I'd post it. Apprently a news channel in North Carolina thought allowing people to submit their own bad weather closings online was a good idea, that was until a bunch of NC State students figured it out. You went to the station's website, registered your business and once it was approved you could post anything and get it on TV. Some of them are absolutely... Continue reading

New Texas Common Application now available

June 09, 2005 at 10:45 AM

Looks like the Texas Common Application for admission to the state's public universities has changed a little bit for the coming year. Nothing too major, though I do find question 15 pretty interesting. Click to bring up the full-sized view of the application:... Continue reading

We're number 65!!

March 22, 2005 at 07:35 AM

With my bracked screwed beyond all hope of respectability and Texas one and done in March Madness, I thought I would post some college sports notes that conveniently mock my good friends at Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Aggies proud to be in the NIT Yeah, yeah. We lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but at least we were in the damn thing. The Aggies appear to be quite proud of themselves... Warning

February 24, 2005 at 09:45 AM

I'm guessing the fine is the least of your problems. There's background info in the comments and some doubts about the signs veracity. Still funny as hell.... Continue reading

The Somerville Gates

February 18, 2005 at 09:05 AM

After our nice discussion on whether The Gates are crap or art or something else entirely, I found this absolutely hilarious. The Somerville Gates will be available in Somerville, Massachusetts until the cleaning lady comes. This helpful comparison of the two masterpieces, including statistics on the years it took to make (26 to .002) and the number of feline visitors (0 to 1). Amazingly this work of art was accomplished with only $3.50, slightly... Continue reading

Aggies like sheep

February 17, 2005 at 10:55 AM

The Longhorn fans are at it again, dressed up and mocking A&M. This time was even funnier. He even had a sign that said Baaaaah means no! Silly Aggies and their animal lovin'. I really don't know what to say about the guy in the gorilla suit, the giant orange foam novelty hat is a nice touch though. I miss being a college student.... Continue reading
