Alanis Morissette covers "My Humps"

April 03, 2007 at 09:41 PM

One of the funniest things I've seen/heard in a long time, Alanis Morissette covering Fergie's terrible song "My Humps":

Funny stuff. No matter how many times I watch it I still crack up. I knew the lyrics in that song were bad, but I didn't realize they were this bad. It's incredible that someone with as little musical talent has had a career in music as long as Stacy Ferguson.

Alanis is one of my favorite singer/songwriter's, however, this latest offering of the cover of "my Humps" shows her wanting to perform on a level less than great! To cover a far less talented person's song as in "Fergie", shows that she would rather try trashy lyrics and showing off her body to gain a different audience, and I do believe that she only did this because she actually has "Humps and Lumps"! If Ms. Morissette had performed this song first, then Ms. Ferguson's performance would have been more appealing to today's sex-fueled teens. It's like Whitney Houston on Bobby Brown's Reality Show....hint...hint...Whitney is more famous!!!! So Ms. Morissette should continue to set the standards in music, not bow down to a much lower standard in which involves yourself, doing a terrible "cover" of a "Really Ridiculous" song with stupid lyrics from an studio recording artist, who for all intense and purpose, subscribes to "youthful lusts" to make a living in a wicked and adulterous world full of liars, theives and killers! Ferguson tempts man in every area of her performance and lyrics. "Let's guess who's actually taken a 'Jagged Little Pill'?"

Um dude, Alanis was mocking Fergie and making fun of the song. It wasn't a legit cover.
