July 08, 2005 at 07:14 PM

Wow... that's ridiculous. Paying that much just to get the game a week early.

CompUSA may already have NCAA 2006

July 02, 2005 at 01:29 PM

If you really love NCAA Football 2006 then you might want to head over to your local CompUSA because some people have found the game there on sale early. Looks like it's only at certain stores, which could be because of the managers at a particular store or just based on distribution centers.

I'll be heading to the closes CompUSA near me to check it out this afternoon.

Update: Looks like I may be out of luck. If you check the availability in my area it says Coming soon and other places say In-stock. If you want to check your area, just change the zip code at the very end of those URLs.

DT Lindner's NCAA 2006 review

July 01, 2005 at 09:41 PM

I've now officially posted everything I can find on NCAA Football 2006. Although DT does have financial incentive to encourage people to buy the game (he sells rosters with correct player names), he does seem pretty damn enthusiastic about it.

Dumbass ABC reality show pulled

June 30, 2005 at 05:13 PM

I'd seen the previews for ABC's Welcome to the Neighborhood and found it not only dumb, but pretty offensive as well. Apparently enough other people thought it was a bad idea that they won't be airing the show. Darn, now there's only 476 reality shows that will be on this fall.

What could've made Sideways better

June 30, 2005 at 11:22 AM

I didn't think it was that bad, but it was certainly an overrated film filled with yuppies who make me want to punch them in the face.

Maybe I should've warned you it was really loud. Oh well, if it doesn't load all the way the first time refresh and watch it again.

Ron Mexico in Blitz?

June 23, 2005 at 11:50 PM

I know this year's Blitz will focus on a lot of off field issues as well as the traditional gameplay, but I had no idea your QB would be able to contract herpes.

The legend of Ron Mexico grows.

NCAA Football 06: Diary of a Heisman Hopeful

June 10, 2005 at 03:47 PM

IGN walks through the Race for the Heisman mode in NCAA Football 2006. I'd love to try it, I wonder if you can do a traditional dynasty simultaneously with that mode. I'd like to create a guy and then have him play for Texas.

PS3 not shipping with a hard drive?

June 02, 2005 at 09:45 AM

If they could somehow not include the harddrive but still require it, I'd be all for it. I'd much rather pay $300 for the PS3 and $50 for a 120GB hard drive than pay $465 for a PS3 with a 40GB drive.

But as the other commenters are saying, game makers aren't going to make games that take advantage of it if it's not almost universal.
