Madden 360: A Closer Look

October 27, 2005 at 09:31 PM

Madden is looking better and better as we get closer to the November 22nd Xbox 360 launch. It's disappointing that they weren't able to up the ante on the franchise mode yet. I'm sure the second generation of Xbox 360 games will be much better than most of these launch titles.

Print at Target from Flickr

October 27, 2005 at 09:26 PM

Finally. I need to stop having the uploadr automatically resize my photos for me if I plan on ever printing them, the higher resolution the better. A much desired feature that those of who store all of our photos there will definitely take advantage of. I'm sure it'll be excellent source of income for Flickr and Target as well.

Mazzone heading to Baltimore

October 22, 2005 at 12:49 PM

I wonder if there's anything else going on that would make Mazzone so eager to leave Atlanta. He almost went to the Yankees before signing with the Orioles.

He's a very large part of the Braves' success the last 15 years, I hope they're able to continue without him.

Playable Xbox 360's at Wal-Mart

October 19, 2005 at 09:38 PM

They didn't have it here at the Wal-Mart near me (didn't look like they were setting up for it either) but some stores around the country have their display units up and going. Some movies and playable demos of Call of Duty 2, Kameo, and King Kong.

Get the complete Xbox 360 Premium Edition for free.

EA Sports NFL Head Coach

October 19, 2005 at 07:19 PM

My favorite part of Madden is all the franchise-related stuff anyways, so this new coach simulation from EA Sports is definitely interesting. If they do enough with the playbook and let you design actual plays (in depth) and schemes it'll be something I give a look to.

Available in Spring 2006.

NES Micro

October 16, 2005 at 12:06 PM

The Game Boy Micro is a dumb idea, this is much cooler. Ben Heckendorn created a tiny NES that's just slightly larger than the cartridge itself. Check out his other projects.

Lance Berkman is the anti-Killer B

October 12, 2005 at 09:51 PM

Makes him sound like a bit of a jackass, but overall a very positive article of Lance's ability and his personality.

The iPod (with video)

October 12, 2005 at 09:34 PM

Very sweet, something that size and with that much storage is perfect for video. It looks like I could save TV shows in Divx format on my PC (using my ATI All-In-Wonder) and transfer them right to the iPod, if it's not that easy then someone could create a simple conversion tool to do the job.

I'd never pay $2 per episode to Apple to watch television on the thing.

Still looking good, I need to start figuring out what other games I pick up at launch other than Madden.

Honda unveils vehicle designed for dogs

October 06, 2005 at 08:19 PM

I think Reesey is small enough we could almost just shove her into our existing glove compartment. Though I'm pretty sure she'd throw a fit if we tried to force her to sit anywhere other than my lap.

Madden 2006 for Xbox 360

October 06, 2005 at 08:05 PM

Some very nice looking screenshots plus the first video footage I've seen. They're obviously upgrading the graphics, but what'll be really interesting to see is how gameplay and the franchise mode will be updated.

MS demos Xbox 360 to iPod connection

October 04, 2005 at 08:00 PM

We heard and saw before that devices would be able to connect to the Xbox 360, but now Microsoft has officially shown off the feature and released a few more details as well. Biggest tidbit out of this is that it appears you can't transfer files to the Xbox 360, all you can do is play them.
