Backpack now available
Backpack is now available from 37signals.
I was going to link to it yesterday but the overwhelming first day demand had the site running really slowly. I've just started to feel my way around and it definitely seems interesting, I'm not sure where this fits in with Ta-Da Lists and Basecamp for me yet. Other than the reminders, there seems to be a lot of overlap in Backpack, at least from the way I think I'd probably use it.
Getting organized is easy. Gather your ideas, to-dos, notes, photos, and files online. Set email and mobile reminders so you don't forget the little things. Easily collaborate with others.
In a couple of weeks I'll write more about my experiences with it and let you know what I think.

Rivals actually has RSS feeds
Rivals.com has finally added something I've been asking forever for, RSS feeds of their content. Just excerpts (which it makes sense because it's premium pay content) but at least I'll be notified everytime there's an update.
Well it sure would be nice if they told someone about them. They're not using auto-discovery either, so there's absolutely no way to know they're there.

Abandoned amusement park
Wow, very very cool.
The fog really tops off the surreal atmosphere. I don't know where it is, but the site's in Japanese.

Stock footage additions, plus the original source!
An update to an update to an update.
The girl in the blue hat and shell necklace that first amazed us with her ability to go to school with Dell and Gateway at the same time, has shown up several more times in the last week. Plus, I finally got curious enough to look for the original source and was able locate it pretty easily.

Rivals-exclusive shots of NCAA 2006
Rivals has posted 20 exclusive screenshots of the upcoming NCAA Football 2006, including several I found very interesting detailing the recruiting process.

EA and Rivals.com team up on NCAA 06
Article from Rivals discussing NCAA Football 2006. A lot of the info was discussed before by IGN, but this one focuses on the changes to the recruiting process a lot more. Good stuff.
Sounds like recruiting is going to be more difficult this year and have a lot more variables to it. Damn soft verbals.

OU baseball coach quits over racist remarks
I thought for sure he'd just be suspended for a couple of games, I'm glad Sooners' baseball coach Larry Cochell did what was right and resigned.
Now if we could only get black people to stop using that word too.
