Cal getting spanked by Tech

December 30, 2004 at 11:14 PM

Well maybe the whiney Cal fans will shut the hell up now. Texas Tech handed Cal their asses 45 to 31. Oh by the way, Texas beat Tech by 30.

The Santa Clause 2

Not nearly as good as the first (which is from way back in 1994, damn I'm old!) but still a funny holiday movie. Tim Allen is good again, but the supporting cast isn't nearly as adorable. His son is like 30 now! Definitely worth watching during Christmas time.

One of my favorite movies of the past year. Absolutely wonderful. Engaging, unique, and genuine.

Envy

Pretty crappy movie (bad pun intended.)

Neither Ben Stiller or Jack Black really shine, the lame story overshadows them both. One main part of the story is, Where does the poo go? When they finally tell you near the end they spend about four seconds on it and mumble it and skip about 90% of the details.

Lame.

Fellowship of the Rings

Another book on CD, this time I was sorely disappointed.

Digital Fortress was great, I really enjoyed the book and it's delivery. This time rather than reading me the book, they acted it out. It was at times excellent, but at many others it was lame or difficult to hear. Plus it was very abridged.

Luckily, Christina is buying me the movies for Christmas.

Texas at Wake Forest

A tough loss for the Texas basketball team but most likely one that'll make them a much better team in the long run. They played a very good Wake Forest team on the road and almost came away with a victory. It would have been a huge win on national TV, but they're still young and should pull out more of these close ones as these season goes on.

A Westie puppy

Two adorable Westie puppies

Okay, Christina and I want one of these in the worst way. We've been wanting a white little puppy to go along with Reesey. Not too soon, but maybe the next time we move. (A year and a half from now?)

Aren't they adorable, it would be a perfect little sister for Reesey. Perfect size and temperament.

John Madden is a moron: Reason #5391

December 13, 2004 at 10:35 PM
John Madden

Jesus, John Madden and Al Michaels have never seen the damn swinging gate before. First they couldn't decide if it was legal and then they were shocked the center could snap it sideways like that. Um, guys we were doing that all the time in ninth grade. Morons.

The O.C.

Christina and I are watching The O.C. again. Season two so far is just more of the same, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

They've essentially doubled the cast, since instead of Ryan, Seth, Marissa, and Summer are all dating other random people instead of each other. It also seems to be focusing more on Peter Gallagher and his eyebrows. Although as we found out at the end of last week's episode, that may be just to provide some background on what is going to screw up Ryan's love life this time.

I enjoy most of the plotlines in the show, except the ones that involve someone feeliing sorry for themselves because they're so damn rich. Marissa's I'm an alcholic because my life is so hard phases piss the hell out of me.

Van Helsing

Not even Kate Beckinsale's best vampire movie, that's never a good sign. She was hot though, but her accent made me want to punch her. And I'm just not a Hugh Jackman fan. He's a good actor, but not a leading man in an action movie.

Decent action movie with good looking women, but with lots of lame parts and some horrible accents.

Real jobs are for suckers

Homer Simpson expresses my thoughts on work, ever so eloquently:

If you don't like your job, you don't strike! You just go in every day and do it real half-assed. That's the American way!

Sonic Mega Collection Plus

December 06, 2004 at 09:30 AM

Rating: 4/5

Get it from Amazon.com!

For the price ($20), you can't really go wrong with the Mega Collection. You get twenty different Sonic titles, so there's plenty of gameplay there. Check out IGN's review.

I never really played the games when they were first released, so it's been fun to finally get the chance to. But the best part is watching Christina play them. I've tried again and again to get her into gaming, but she's just not dexterous enough. Sonic only requires using the analog stick and one button. Even she can handle that! So cute.

Hot Diggity Dogger

Hot Diggity Dogger

It's like a toaster, but especially for hot dogs and their buns. Brilliant! (via Gizmodo)

Update: Apparently this thing is a big pile of dung. Don't buy it for me unless you have money to burn and a personal vendetta against me.
