Penny Arcade thinks Troy sucks too

May 31, 2004 at 07:05 PM

Turns out I'm not the only one who thinks Troy was a mediocre movie, Gabe and Tycho over at PA thought it was pretty lame too.... Continue reading

Review: Troy

May 29, 2004 at 05:08 PM

Homer's story of Achilles and the Trojan War, the Iliad, is known throughout the world, but movies about the tale have thus far only been of the television variety. Wolfgang Petersen's Troy attempts to be an epic in the Gladiator mold but in the end comes up short. Poor casting and a slow start doom the movie. It recovers slightly as the film goes along, but can never quite overcome it's beginnings. It's probably... Continue reading

One more day!!!

May 27, 2004 at 09:19 PM

I have one more day, just a single freaking class until I'm done. One and a half hours. I'll be done at 10 am. Score. 12 hours, 35 mins, 07 seconds to go. I'm kinda surprised I made it this far. If MII or Whole Foods had even remotely hinted at wanting me before June 1st I would've been out the door so damn fast. I would've been a damn blur. 12 hours, 33 mins,... Continue reading

Paul Anka hurts my ears

May 25, 2004 at 07:58 PM

This is absolutely painful and embarassing. Paul Anka has sold his soul for probably like $20 and 3 minutes of exposure. Wow that was bad. Change the lyrics of your thirty year old song with American Idol words. It reminds me of when "Billy Mack" sings Christmas is All Around in Love Actually: I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes, Christmas is all around me, and so the feeling grows... Didn't Fantasia wear that last week?

May 25, 2004 at 07:00 PM

Is it just me or is that exactly the same top Fantasia wore either last week or the week before. If it's not, it's REALLY similar. Edit: Okay, I just checked and last week's outfit was a "dress" that where the upper half had same fit and look.... Continue reading

John Kerry > Aunt Jemima

May 24, 2004 at 06:36 PM

No longer is Aunt Jemima's name synonymous with waffles and pancakes. Google search "waffles" and the first site that appears is a link to John Kerry's official site. Wired News talks about the situation and about Google-bombing in general. It's amazing the power a group of bloggers has, yet I still have trouble getting Brian Behrend to freaking point to me. (This site is approximately number 18!)... Continue reading

ESPN.com cross-browser compatability

May 23, 2004 at 09:21 AM

To put it mildly, it sucks. Half the stuff on ESPN.com doesn't work unless you're using IE. It's one of my favorite sites to visit but since I've begun using Firefox it's not half as useful as it used to be. For one thing ESPN Motion is IE only and they "have not finalized schedules for alternate browser and operating system versions" of the program. This is really dissappointing. Motion is almost a broadband killer... Continue reading

My dog pisses a lot

May 21, 2004 at 09:52 AM

Every morning we have to mop up the kitchen floor because Reesey pisses all over it. She tries her best to hold it and wait till morning, but her tiny little bladder can't make it. Well WizDog steps up to the plate to solve all your puppy potty problems. Doggy pees on WizDog, pee goes through grate, newspaper absorbs pee. (See this helpful diagram.)... Continue reading

I always knew people were stupid

May 19, 2004 at 07:12 PM

I have little or no respect for mankind. I think a good 99% of the general public is at least mildly retarded. That opinion is repeatedly validated every day, but never more than after reading this post on A Whole Lotta Nothing which directed me to another post about Overhaulin'. Apparently fans of the show are complete morons with really crappy cars. Edit: Another fine example... Continue reading
