Texas at Oklahoma State

Holy crap. Let's not play the Cowboys again for a while. If we drop too much in the polls, I'm going to shoot someone.

Astros in the World Series

October 22, 2005 at 09:29 PM

Game 1 of the World Series is tonight. Houston really needs to win one of two in Chicago against the White Sox if they want to win this series. Should be pretty good match up, lots of good pitching and whoever wins will do so because of timely hitting.

Texas Tech at Texas

October 22, 2005 at 06:24 PM

I have a feeling USC will get a lot more credit for beating #9 Notre Dame by 4 than we will for beating #10 (and #7 in the BCS) Texas Tech by 35. A completely dominating performance by both sides of the ball today and once again I don’t think we played near our best football game. Vince Young finished the game only 12 of 22, but had 239 yards and two touchdowns and made the plays he needed to win the game. Jamaal Charles looked to be about 75% and was clearly limited both by his ankle and the coaches, so Selvin Young stepped up and had a great game. He had 76 yards on the ground and added two good TD runs and just as importantly didn’t put the ball on the ground once. The defense played solid all game long, holding Texas Tech well below their season averages despite the fact that our quick strike offense gave them the ball often. Sure tackling and excellent play by the secondary made it a long game for Mike Leach’s boys.

Really great and entertaining movie, certainly the best Batman movie ever made. Good storyline and great action throughout. One thing that bothered me is why were Batman's gadgets more advanced in the past?

Read more reviews.

Good movie but after the reviews I heard I was a little disappointed. It was well done and unpredictable, but a little unfulfilling. The first half of the movie was great and you're really trying to figure out what's going on and who he really is, but the second half I kept waiting for some really great, unexptected twist and it never came.

Colorado at Texas

Vince Young played about as good a game as a quarterback can today. The Rose Bowl is his signature game but he did all of that on his own and most of it with his legs, today he showed everyone that he’s a complete football player. He ran and threw the ball effortlessly today and played a near flawless game. His final stats: 25 of 29 for 338 yards and 2 touchdowns and add 59 yards and 3 more TD’s on the ground. Just as importantly, his receivers showed up today as well. David Thomas had 5 catches and converted several important third downs and Limas Sweed had 7 catches, 88 yards, and 2 touchdowns. I don’t remember a single dropped ball and there were probably 5 fantastic catches. If we had a healthy Jamaal Charles or if we had kept putting the ball in the air in the second half we could have won by 40. A very complete football game by the Horns.

Series is tied 1 - 1 after two games in Atlanta. Both games were well played and tight for about 7 innings till they got blown open late against the bullpens.

I really can't stand Drew Barrymore, she annoys me and I think she's cute about an eighth of the time.

Movie was pretty good but of course as lame as you would think it would be.

Texas at Missouri

October 01, 2005 at 11:59 AM

Sloppy and ugly for the first quarter or so. Texas was plagued by penalties and other mistakes throughout the game, especially early on. Once the offense got rolling and the defense settled down it was clear they were the better team. Vince Young played well and made the huge plays when he had to. His scramble on 3rd and 30 was a game changing play. Aside from the ball that was poorly thrown and tipped at the line of scrimmage that resulted in an interception, he made every throw he had to make. He threw for 2 TD’s and had another one (or two) that the refs claimed were incomplete that sure looked like touchdowns to me.

Jamaal Charles is officially the real deal and it’s exciting to finally see Ramonce Taylor getting his hands on the ball again.
