De-Lovely

Really boring for the first 45 minutes or so but it got better. Never really heard of Cole Porter before the movie, just heard that it was pretty good. I think it would've been better if they hadn't mixed in those Cole Porter watching himself scenes.

Elf

Man I loved this movie when we first saw it in theaters. It may be July but it was still hilarious and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Jon Favreu is supposed to have a sequel in the works, but it may be without Will Ferrel.

In Good Company

Great movie that comes really close to being a fantastic one. Maybe I'm just a sap but I was hoping for a little different ending.

Great performances by everyone in the cast. Dennis Quaid is great, Scarlett Johansson is beautiful and wonderful, and Topher Grace is funny and vulnerable. Topher Grace, despite going by the name of Topher, is actually a surprisingly good actor and has transition out of his The 70's Show role pretty easily.

NBA Draft

Man, the NBA Draft flies by compared to the NFL Draft.

Kind of mixed emotions over what's going to happen to CJ Miles. He's a UT commit who claims he will attend Texas if he's undrafted or drafted in the second round. I honestly think coming to school for a year or two would be best for him, but he's made his decision and I hope things work out for the kid.

Chronicles of Riddick

Good action movie that really improved a lot on the last one. Chronicles of Riddick is much easier to watch than Pitch Black was, mainly because much less of the movie is in the dark. Takes a bit off the general feel of the movie, but something that had to be done to make it a mainstream success.

Started off terrible but actually got a little better as it went along. May have actually been better than Daredevil but maybe I just had higher expectations for that one.

Cinderella Man

Absolutely fantastic. Best movie we've seen in a long time. Wonderful, brutal fight scenes to go with a heartwrenching true story.

I need to find the book by Jeremy Schaap because I've been wanting to check it out too.

National Treasure

I probably enjoyed National Treasure more than most people did. It's kind of like a poorly written, action-packed version of a Dan Brown novel focused only on US history. Enjoyable but average.

NBA Finals in HD

Mmmmmmmm... high-definition.

Thanks to ABC broadcasting the NBA Finals in HD and widescreen I got to see two crystal clear ferns on the pre-game show.

And Alanis Morissette's ugly ass hair highlights.

And DJ Jazzy Jeff. My life is complete.

Team America

Not nearly as offensive as I thought it would be, dissappointing. A lot of funny moments and lines, but in general it wasn't particularly amusing. Probably the worst of the movies from Trey Parker and Matt Stone. I even liked BASEketball much better.

Kim Jong Il was hilarious and I loved all the moron actor/activists. As usual the songs were absolutely fantastic.

Pitch Black

I watched part of this years ago but decided to finally sit through the whole thing because I'm interesed in The Chronicles of Riddick. Pitch Black is a decent action movie with really annoying visual affects throughout. I know it was supposed to add to the atmosphere of darkness and simulate the way Riddick sees things, but it was annoying and made the movie difficult to watch.

White Noise

Well that stunk. I didn't exactly have high expectations for White Noise but it still managed to fall short of them.

Lame premise that it tries to pass off as fact, but then throws as much BS in as possible to make anyone who actually thought the EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, was real to realize this movie was full of it. It went from people trying to communicate with lost loved ones to ghosts killing people.

MVP Baseball

A good game with a lot of flaws. MVP Baseball is fun but could have been much better with up-to-date rosters and online play. As it is now, it's an enjoyable baseball game that will get old fast unless you have friends to play with within your LAN.

Gwen Stefani - Love. Angel. Music. Baby.

Wow this is absolutely awful. What an utter piece of crap. Other than the catchy Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl (which is actually kind of corny but still good) the entire album is just bad, bad music. Horribly corny lyrics with bad melodies and a white girl trying to rap.

No Doubt used to be good. I bet the rest of the band is glad their name isn't associated with this manure. At least she still has her freaky posse.

Wow.
