Sounds like the Logitech Harmony Advanced Universal Remote for Xbox 360 is a winner.

When (if?) I ever get my Xbox 360 I'll have a tough decision on whether to pick this up or not. The universal remote that came with my Kenwood A/V receiver is pretty good but a few of the buttons are starting to not work everytime you press them. The Harmony does everything you can imagine and seems easy to use as well.

I think the only lingering question I have is whether it can remember what input my TV is on so it knows how to get from one activity to another. I think it might since as he says in his review, the Harmony remote is a stateful remote - meaning it keeps track of the current state of all your devices based on what commands it has already sent out. He uses the example of it knowing whether a device is on or off, so I assume it can keep track of other information as well.

It does remember your last input. It's smart enough that it does not turn off things you don't want it to. The thing is awesome. It takes a little while to get it set up, but it's rather painless. I have an Apex 52'' T.V., a Dish Network Satelite, a PS2 (yeah it even controls it), a 360, a Pelican HD selector, a Sony Receiver and a Sondy DVD player. It opperates them with ease. The macros are sweet...with one touch it sets up every component to do what you want it to do (i.e. it turns the TV to the correct input, turns on all the needed equipment..etc). It will even control lights, fans and appliances if they have a remote control. I was really scared it would be a waste of money, but it paid off. From six remotes to one....one that will rule them all. BUY IT!
