TiVo debuts Overlap Protection
TiVo has debuted an unfortunately needed new feature with their latest service update:
In the past, if two of your favorite shows overlapped by a minute or two, you could only record one or the other. Now, with Overlap Protection, your TiVo box can record both shows back-to-back by clipping just enough from the end of the first show or the beginning of the second show, based on which has the higher Season Pass priority in Season Pass Manager.
Now you'll be able to record shows that purposely go an extra minute or two long or start a little early. I need to go through and clean up my season passes, there's some terrible stuff in there and I need to make sure it's in the right order so I don't record freaking Sex and the City and miss out on The Simpsons.
