Kenny Rogers implodes

June 30, 2005 at 03:36 PM

In case you missed it, Kenny Rogers went berserk yesterday and attacked two different TV cameramen before a Rangers game. From the video and eyewitness reports, the first cameraman was filming the entire team coming out of the clubhouse and onto the field. Apparently Mr. Rogers took offense to that and shoved the camera out of his hands. It got worse. Rogers then went out of his way several yards to attack Larry Rodriguez... Continue reading

Tony + Manu = Love

June 24, 2005 at 02:47 PM

Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili are taking team chemistry to a whole new level. I don't know what the rules are in France and Argentina, but this is probably overdoing things just a bit. (via Orangebloods)... Continue reading

I can't stand watching basketball

June 23, 2005 at 10:03 PM

I had no idea that hammering Tim Duncan on the arm everytime he goes up for a shot was classified as great defense. NBA officiating makes the game impossible to watch, they call ticky-tack crap away from the ball but let you assault the big guys when they're trying to shoot. It's not biased, it's just terrible.... Video game to help decide real life baseball game

June 22, 2005 at 11:22 AM

A game between the independent Kansas City T-Bones and the Schaumburg Flyers will begin virtually with two innings on the Xbox instead of out in the field. Two contest winners will play MVP Baseball 2005 with created teams for two innings, and the score after that match-up will carry over to the real game when the two actual teams take the field. The T-Bones (great name by the way) are the ones creating the... Continue reading

What the heck font is this?

June 20, 2005 at 10:04 AM

I have no idea what font I used to make seven22's logo and I don't have it on this PC. I got it off Fontleech probably six months ago, I swear it was called Tektron or Tektronic or something along those lines. I even tried WhatTheFont but with no luck. WhatTheFont takes an image and attempts to help you figure out what font it is. Works pretty well except that this image has a... Continue reading

Coca-Cola Zero

June 19, 2005 at 07:38 PM

I've just discovered Coca-Cola Zero (man, I love Wikipedia). I saw it in the grocery store and despite not having a clue what it was or how it was different from the other 2,320 varieties of Coke or Diet Coke, I bought a 12-pack. They've come out out with Diet Coke with Splenda and Diet Coke with Lime in the last few months which are both about a thousand times better than regular Diet... Continue reading

Code Red at The Sausage Factory!

June 14, 2005 at 07:28 PM

Not new news but it's funny so I thought I'd post it. Apprently a news channel in North Carolina thought allowing people to submit their own bad weather closings online was a good idea, that was until a bunch of NC State students figured it out. You went to the station's website, registered your business and once it was approved you could post anything and get it on TV. Some of them are absolutely... Continue reading

Jackson acquitted, fans should be locked up

June 13, 2005 at 04:37 PM

Michael Jackson has been acquitted of all charges. I saw this one coming, the accusers just had absolutely no credibility whatsoever. Hard to find prove beyond a reasonable doubt when you don't belief half of what the victim is saying. I am a little bit surprised he wasn't found guilty of any of the lesser charges. The people that should locked up are the morons outside the courthouse going insane when the verdict was... Continue reading

Why do malformed links in Firefox go to Microsoft.com?

June 09, 2005 at 11:23 PM

I've wondered this for a while, but why do the miswritten links in Firefox such as http://http://www.brianbehrend.com/ automatically redirect to Microsoft.com? It doesn't even do that in Internet Explorer so it doesn't make much sense that it should happen in other browsers. The links are not valid URI's and therefore should just return a Page Not Found error, but instead they redirect. If you're a Firefox user, click here to try for yourself. Well... Continue reading

New Texas Common Application now available

June 09, 2005 at 10:45 AM

Looks like the Texas Common Application for admission to the state's public universities has changed a little bit for the coming year. Nothing too major, though I do find question 15 pretty interesting. Click to bring up the full-sized view of the application:... Continue reading

Review: MVP Baseball for the PSP

June 03, 2005 at 07:45 PM

MVP Baseball for the PSP is a good but not great game and the majority of reviews agree. The game's release date was pushed back several times, but a lot of flaws (some glaring) remain. A lot of untapped potential that will hopefully make next year's iteration of the game a great one. The gameplay and graphics are pretty decent, though I'm still getting used to hitting with the PSP's analog stick. I had... Continue reading
