Aggies: Always good for a laugh

July 28, 2004 at 10:29 AM

Texas A&M has been in trouble on the playing field the last several years, posting an excellent 4 - 8 record this past year. They got blown out again by Texas and absolutely mauled by Oklahoma. Oh and they had guys dancing on the field when down by 70 to OU, nice work Fran.

With lots of free time on their hands (thanks to not making a bowl), they've decided to go out and get in trouble off the field. Nine different players and one incoming recruit have been arrested since November. The latest of which finally resulted in an actual punishment. Wide receiver Nick Rhodes apparently didn't like his roommate's rendition of Stairway to Heaven so he hit him over the head with a guitar. (Notice the hilarious ESPN.com title? "Out of Tune." Nice one.) Coach Franchione dismissed him from the team, because well he sucks at football and wouldn't have played anyways.

This latest fun goes well with two players yelling racial slurs at a Whataburger (FYI: Hangartner is from New Braunfels), their kicker evading arrest, and of course my personal favorite the player who keeps masturbating in public while staring at random girls.

Keep up the good work Aggies!
