Work is going well

After a rough start Monday and Tuesday work has gotten a ton better. They kind of threw us into the fire with little direction or explanation so it was tough. By like 1:30 on our first day of work they already had told us to work on a Access project. But it was next to impossible to do with the little information on it they had given us and with such a lack of knowledge on how the business itself functions. They told us to "make some reports for this application, but we can't think of any examples." That's hard to do when you don't really know what the purpose of the original app is or what the reports will be used for.

Now we're working on an actual application that we've developed start to finish. Pretty cool. I really like this stuff when I get free reign of things. It's designed to be a message management system. Kind of like email but not email. They've already got a pretty decent task management system developed, this will probably be integrated with that so that anytime anyone has a question about a particular task or project they can easily discuss it with the others involved.
