Shaq a Maverick? T-Mac a Rocket?

What is the basketball world coming to? I don't know how much my view of things is skewed being in Dallas and listening to Dallas sports radio (which by the way is a billion times better than San Antonio sports radio.) But it even seems all the national hosts are talking about is basketball and two of the games biggest stars coming to Texas.

I like the deal for Houston. It makes since to give up a star to acquire a superstar. Steve Francis ia a shooting guard in a point guards body, he wasn't really making the players around him better. Get a point guard who can lead an offense and dish the ball, and build your future around McGrady and Yao Ming.

As for Dallas trading for Shaquille O'Neal I'm a little more hesitant. Granted, Shaq can be the most dominant player in the game when healthy and motivated, but how often will that be? He's not getting any younger or lighter. Dirk Nowitzki has to be untouchable. He just turned 26 and is an absolute freak of nature. Seven foot tall and plays the 3. Do what it takes to get Shaq, but don't give up Dirk to get it done.
