Review: School of Rock

School of Rock

Watched School of Rock in class today, man I love teaching. No wait, I freaking can't stand it that's why I'm blowing it off and just showing movies. I really don't understand though how these stupid kids manage to be annoying and complain even on movie day. Just shut up and sleep if you don't like it. Argh.

The movie is pretty good, I wanted to see it when it was in theaters but just never got around to it. Jack Black is always funny, and I am pleasantly surprised that he actually stayed funny throughout the entire thing. I was a little worried he was one of those actors who makes a great supporting character and a bad star, like Rob Schneider. Plus the kids in it were funny, what's funnier than a really fobby, nerdy Asian rocking the free world? And extremely flamingly homesexual ten year olds? Freaking hilarious.

The thing that really ticked me off was the roommate's psycho girlfriend played by Sarah Silverman, I hate characters that have no redeeming qualities. She was just a total bitch the entire time.

Rating: 4/5

The coolest part of the entire movie is the concert at the end, the kids actually played all the instruments and they actually are pretty damn good. Overall the whole movie is funny and the story is definitely likable. Go rent it.
