Addison Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest Bier Garten

Christina and I went to the Oktoberfest in Addison on Saturday. We had a good time, but it was bloody hot out and it was kind of rinky dink. Both in size and stuff to do it sure doesn't hold a candle to Wurstfest in New Braunfels. There wasn't a ton of people, and most were families. Maybe it's more fun after dark.

It was also much less German than Wurstfest. Ninety percent of the thing was a carnival, people selling junk, and radio stations, not sure what they have to do with Oktoberfest or German heritage. There was of course beer and funnel cake, but only a single place where you could actually hear some German music or see people in lederhosen. It was fun enough that we would've stayed longer had it not been 100+ degrees out, but it was kind of disappointing.
