Man of the House

Man of the House is an upcoming movie from Sony Pictures starring Tommy Lee Jones. The plot?

Texas Ranger Roland Sharp is assigned to protect the only witnesses to the murder of a key figure in the prosecution of a drug kingpin -- a group of University of Texas cheerleaders. Sharp must now go undercover as an assistant cheerleading coach and move in with the young women.

This is the oddest damn thing I've ever seen. I've never seen a movie this closely tied to an actual university. I mean, freaking Road Trip called UT the University of Austin.

Man of the House

Obviously it's going to be a lame piece of crap, but why use a real school? I'm sure UT charged them a gazillion dollars for the rights to all the logos and so they could use all the facilities. The school freaks out if a student orginization puts a small longhorn logo on a t-shirt. They sued the pants off a restaurant who happened to use the name Bevo's.

This movie is gonna bomb and take the good name of the University of Texas with it.
