Lance Berkman joins Home Run Derby

More good news for Lance thanks to Ken Griffey Jr.'s frailty, he'll now be participating in his second career Home Run Derby. It's definitely good for him and it's quite an honor. The more exposure (especially on this kind of stage) the better it is for him and his career. I'm not nearly as excited about it as I am about him starting the actual All-Star Game though, he's always hit a lot of home runs but he's never been a "home run hitter." He's more of a line drive hitter with power than a great power hitter, and great power hitters are who win the Derby. I just hope he does better than he did a few years ago in Milwaukee when he hit like one homer. Good luck to him though.
