This is why I want a new camera

I've been looking at a lot of digital cameras lately (in the $500 range and 4 or 5 MP with at least 8x optical zoom), and this guy's site is one of the reasons why. I know he's taking a lot of his shots with fancy SLR cameras, but he took all the shots here with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera which is about the range I'm looking at. It's all about the subject matter I guess. If you take pictures of interesting things, you get interesting pictures.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Ground Glass' "B-List" is also the template I want to end up using when I finally get around to my photoblog (One picture per post but also linked to galleries.)

The camera doesn't make the picture look good, it's the artist behind it. You gotta learn how to see things. You can't just take pictures and expect it to turn out pretty, you have to learn how to see things first.

Hey, thanks for the compliment. ;)

I wrote up a tutorial on how I did the b-list section of my site over at photojunkie magazine. You can check it out at http://www.photojunkie.org/archives/2004/04/12/fun_with_mt_photogallery.php when you get around to setting things up... Assuming the plugins work with 3.0, you should be good to go.

Cheers!
