No more shaggy mutt

We finally got a chance to take Reesey in to the groomers for a much needed haircut and bath. She looks like a little puppy again, okay maybe a little too much like a boy, but still a cute puppy.
Here are some photos from the day of her haircut, a couple from in the morning before and some after she got back home.

On the farm

Reesey is city dog, and she proved that fact at my Grandma Behrend's this week.
She had a blast off the leash and chasing the other dogs there, but she was definitely out of her element. She runs like the freaking wind, but in the hilly country-side she kept busting her ass when she would come to a low point.
Then in the grossest thing I've seen in a long time, she licked a damn cow pattie. No kisses for her for a while.

The dog park

Reesey can play all day long in the apartment, but it's still nice to get her outside so she can run and play once in a while. Christina and I have been trying to take her to the dog park as much as possible, she has a blast and it's adorable to watch her run around.
Plus, she's a freaking bitch. Both literally and in her temperament. So we try to take her out and let her get to be around other dogs and gets more accustomed to it.
If you look closely, you'll notice the disgust on her face that another dog dare come close to her. She's such a princess.

Wet and crazy mutt

A couple of pictures of Reesey soaked. She loves to roll around in the grass outside, and apparently doesn't care if it's been raining. Christina thinks it's HEE-larious so she took pictures of her before drying her off. I'm calling the ASPCA.

Playing fetch outside

She's too bad of a doggy to do it anymore, but we used to let Reesey run around and play outside the apartment complex. She loved it, but she's too wild. At least she gets to go to the dog park now.
The picture of her head barely protruding from the long grass is adorable. Look how long her tongue is. She plays until she passes out, rests, then is ready to play again.

Reesey in the park

Reesey and I spent a couple hours just running around the park while Christina was at a job interview. We played and ran around so she found a spot in the shade.

Reesey's first Christmas

Some photos of Reesey on and around Christmas 2003. The best ones are the trail of rawhide Christmas booties that she ran and hid when she got them. She left a trail of them behind her all the way up the stairs.

Our first month with Reesey

Some great photos of Reesey from her first month with me and Christina back in November 2003. She used to be so tiny, she was the size of the TV remote and too little to get up on the couch!
She's loved Sheepy since way back then. God that think is nasty now.
