The Lonestar Shootout

The game was too damn close for my health/sanity, but I was able to get some pretty good shots. I actually got a couple of good action photos too, something that I can never get to turn out.

This play is a lead up the middle, Cedric Benson takes the ball down to about the 2 yard line. Vince Young keeps the ball on an option for a touchdown on the next play.

Cowboys vs. Lions

I went to my first regular season NFL game and it was pretty entertaining. The game was close (Cowboys 31 - Lions 21) and there was a good amount of action. I was really disappointed though because Texas' Roy Williams didn't play. He's got a lingering ankle injury, but they were reporting all week that he would play.

Most entertaining point of the game? When two Mexicans called me white trash because they were too fat to get through the row. It was about the fourth time they had gotten up during the game, and they came our direction every time despite it being farther. I complain all the time about how bad most Longhorn fans are, but at least they're not Cowboys fans.

Texas/OU weekend

Well it certainly didn't end happily, but we had a pretty good time this weekend. It was nice to see the cousins and for Reesey to get a chance to play with them.

The State Fair was pretty worthless thanks to the weather, so we didn't stick around for too long after the game.
