Cambodian New Year

April 18, 2006 at 10:28 PM

Christina and I accompanied her mother this weekend to a Cambodian New Year's celebration at a Dallas-area Buddhist temple. We had actually been out to the temple the weekend before as well since her mom had gotten the date wrong. It wasn't specifically a Buddhist celebration, so despite it being at a Buddhist temple I would guess the majority of the Cambodians in attendance weren't practicing Buddhist. Or maybe they were just lazy Buddhists... Continue reading

Christmas 2005

December 22, 2005 at 09:42 PM

I had to drive down to McDade by myself that weekend so Christina and I opened presents early on the 16tth so I could listen to my new Sirius radio on the trip. Only one surprise, a black leather jacket that I would've never bought but I really like, but I love all my presents. The jacket, the radio, a Xbox 360 game and accessory, and some other stuff. What a good fiance I've... Continue reading

Santa Reesey

December 20, 2005 at 07:04 AM

I was trying to surprise Christina with Christmas photos of me and Reesey in front of the tree. I actually got her to wear her little Santa hat that she's despised and never worn since we got it a year ago, but she wouldn't hold still at all. It's too dark in our living room for good pictures without the flash (and she's too wiggly) and too small of a room for it to... Continue reading

Texas at Baylor

November 05, 2005 at 09:37 PM

Christina and I woke up nice and early and headed down to Waco to see the Horns play Baylor. Very good game if you're a Texas fan, but it was a little boring at times. Texas rolled them 62 to nothing in a game I was actually a little nervous about at the start. The Bears have been anemic on offense all year, but their defense is stout and after last week you never... Continue reading

2005 Red River Rivalry

October 10, 2005 at 08:58 PM

Christina and I took a ton off shots of this weekend’s Texas/OU game. We have 64 photos of The State Fair, pregame warmups, in game action, and the some great shots of the victory celebration. There’s a classic shot of Will Winston waving the big Longhorn flag while Kasey Studdard is congratulated by a very grateful cheerleader. Nice to see the big guys having some fun in more ways than one. By the way,... Continue reading

Reesey in the wind

September 25, 2005 at 11:37 PM

Hurricane Rita didn't bring Dallas a single drop of rain (though it caused serious damage in Houston), but it did cause some slightly windy days. Reesey and I went for a walk during a particularly windy evening, and I of course took a ton of pictures. Check out the photoset or view the slideshow on flickr.... Continue reading

Addison Oktoberfest

September 17, 2005 at 05:12 PM

Christina and I went to the Oktoberfest in Addison on Saturday. We had a good time, but it was bloody hot out and it was kind of rinky dink. Both in size and stuff to do it sure doesn't hold a candle to Wurstfest in New Braunfels. There wasn't a ton of people, and most were families. Maybe it's more fun after dark. It was also much less German than Wurstfest. Ninety percent of... Continue reading

House Hunting

August 02, 2005 at 09:23 PM

Christina and I have started to look into buying a house next summer and so we went last weekend and visited our first open house. We went to see some DR Horton homes up in McKinney and are pretty excited. We're still very early on in our search but we had a good time and learned a lot. For one thing, the neighborhood is almost as important the house. So many of those mid-level... Continue reading

The Big Apple

April 27, 2005 at 10:02 PM

These are photos from our first ever trip to New York City this past weekend. We were there for five days and had a great time. We tried to do as much as possible without wearing ourselves out, and I think we did a pretty good job. We missed out on a few sites, but overall hit all the important spots. The photoset includes 266 photos from all over New York City. Times Square,... Continue reading

Unpacking the PSP

March 24, 2005 at 08:42 PM

I preordered the Sony Playstation Portable months ago, originally as a profit making scheme. But as the release date got closer, I wanted to keep it more and more. I'm glad I did, the thing is freaking sweet! The screen is absolutely gorgeous. The Spider-Man 2 UMD that came with it looks as good as a DVD on a regular television. Time to go play some Lumines! Check out the photoset or view the... Continue reading

Christmas 2004

December 24, 2004 at 10:19 PM

Reesey was a good puppy all weekend long. She played non-stop and slept the rest of the time, pretty much staying out of trouble. Her grandma even gave her tons of presents. She's got enough treats to survive a nuclear war. Pictures of Christina and me having our Christmas, my family opening presents after church on Christmas Eve, and of course little Reesey causing trouble. Check out the photoset or view the slideshow on... Continue reading

Reesey misses me

November 27, 2004 at 10:24 PM

Christina took this perfect shot of Reesey staring out the window wondering where I went. She just stood there on her tiptoes waiting for me to come back home. Christina said she was there for at least five whole minutes. I think this may be my favorite photo of Reesey ever. There's some really great ones of her running around or with her big toungue hanging out, but this one really captures her personality.... Continue reading
