What do you think?

October 02, 2004 at 12:12 PM

My brother and his wife have asked that I design and set up a site for them. They just want something where they can display images and post their thoughts, so it'll probably be a pretty simple MovableType installation. I spent some time yesterday and this morning coming up with something to start with. What do ya'll think?... Continue reading

Reesey is a wuss

September 29, 2004 at 10:39 AM

Christina and I took Reesey to the dog park yesterday for the first time. Since Reesey pretty much only sees the two of us she doesn't get many chances to interact with other people or animals, so we thought it would be good for her to get out and socialize. She was scared to death the entire time. The park has two separate sections based on dog size, the small dog part has a weight... Continue reading

Christina is a FOB (but I still love her)

September 20, 2004 at 09:49 AM

It's weird. As much "culture" as I received at UT, I sometimes forget that not everyone grew up like me. I found out last night that Christina had never had Taco Cabana until she met me. In fact she had never even had a tortilla until I introduced her to the wonderful world that is Tex-Mex.... Continue reading

Get a free iPod or TV! Or Xbox 360! Or PS3!

August 21, 2004 at 11:34 AM

Okay so this is the real deal (according to Engadget, who got info on the free flat screens and the scoop on free iPods). All you have to do is sign up for an offer, and then sign up some of your friends and you get your free item. There's even places like GearLive where you can "beat the system" and find other people to sign up with. Several of the offers that you... Continue reading

Today I become an (old) man

July 22, 2004 at 11:42 AM

Today's my 24th birthday. I'm officially in my mid-twenties. It's all down hill now. Life has changed a lot in the last year and a half, and for once in my life I think I've handled it pretty well. I've always been resistant to change, I guess that's part of my pessimistic nature. Even if times were tough, I still would be fearful of the changes the future would be. I'd rather stuff stay bad... I've noticed something

July 15, 2004 at 08:48 AM

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit of a smartass. Okay, maybe a big smartass. Lately I've noticed that I'm having more and more trouble keeping those internal smartass remarks to myself. It seems they're creeping closer to be out loud, and then I'm going to be in trouble. For example, this morning I'm coming down the steps from the parking garage and I see a woman wearing one of those ugly... Continue reading

To "Parent"

July 12, 2004 at 09:44 PM

To the commenter who posted on my "I hate my job" post from back in May: I accidentally deleted your comment (I'm watching the Home Run Derby and was distracted by Berkman's second at bat), but I read it and would like to reply to it. This general idea behind the comment was that this parent was glad that I wasn't a teacher anymore because I'm a loser who couldn't get a real job and... Continue reading
