Olsen twins lactose intolerant

July 07, 2004 at 09:42 AM

Due to the "sensitivity" of the situation regarding Mary-Kate Olsen's eating disorder, their recent "got milk?" ads have been pulled. I guess they figured it would lead to too many obvious jokes. The creepiest thing (other than the look on their faces in that picture) is that when the milk ads were originally released Mary-Kate said, "We wanted to appear in this ad because we love the campaign and we want to help make... Are frogs low-carb?

July 01, 2004 at 12:10 PM

We've been on the South Beach Diet for almost three weeks now. So far it hasn't been too difficult, but I have had to have like 12,371 more salads than I normally would have had over that time span. Wendy's salads are actually decent, but I haven't had the chance to try McDonald's options. Good thing too, because eventhough seafood is mostly low carb and good for you I don't think I would want a... Continue reading

FCC should die

June 07, 2004 at 05:18 PM

Interesting article that I finally read after seeing links to it on Gizmodo and A Whole Lotta Nothing. I figured everyone else is reading/linking to it, so I should too. The CNet News article by Declan McCullagh discusses whether the Federal Communications Commission is or ever was necessary. He complains about overregulation and censorship. Interesting stuff.... I despise the state of California

June 01, 2004 at 10:53 PM

I can't stand the Lakers. California gets wiped out in 10.5 and in The Day After Tomorrow. (Which according to Tony Bruno is unintentionally hilarious.) And the topper, Dunstan over at 1976design.com tells a very interesting story of bathroom etiquette.... Continue reading

John Kerry > Aunt Jemima

May 24, 2004 at 06:36 PM

No longer is Aunt Jemima's name synonymous with waffles and pancakes. Google search "waffles" and the first site that appears is a link to John Kerry's official site. Wired News talks about the situation and about Google-bombing in general. It's amazing the power a group of bloggers has, yet I still have trouble getting Brian Behrend to freaking point to me. (This site is approximately number 18!)... Continue reading

I always knew people were stupid

May 19, 2004 at 07:12 PM

I have little or no respect for mankind. I think a good 99% of the general public is at least mildly retarded. That opinion is repeatedly validated every day, but never more than after reading this post on A Whole Lotta Nothing which directed me to another post about Overhaulin'. Apparently fans of the show are complete morons with really crappy cars. Edit: Another fine example... Continue reading

My kids aren't that smart

May 12, 2004 at 08:56 PM

A California high school student was caught taking a picture of a test with his cell phone, and the school district banned cell phones entirely. Not like I give a damn if they do, but none of my kids would be smart enough to pull that off. And if they were smart enough, then my tests would be so easy they wouldn't need to freaking cheat.... Sexual equality

How come when a man and a woman get engaged, the man has to pay thousands of dollars for this: I think when you get engaged, guys should get this: Or maybe this:... Continue reading

Weird story of murder at UT

May 04, 2004 at 01:40 PM

Apparently a graduate student (Jackson Fan Chun Ngai, nice name) in UT's School of Music chopped up a professor (Danielle Martin) because she had a microchip in her brain. Weird. "Assistant Police Chief Robert Dahlstrom said Ngai called 911 at 9:15 p.m. Thursday from Martin's home. According to the affidavit, Ngai asked for help because someone in the house had a computer chip in their brain. Ngai then hung up the phone, disconnecting his conversation... Continue reading

Not all Iraqis are being mistreated

Despite recent reports about mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners, it's not true in every case. Some, like these young boys pictured below, are being taught valuable lessons.... Continue reading

Hybrid cars not only gay but deadly

May 04, 2004 at 11:39 AM

Not only do hybrid cars save you money, but they also make you look like a stupid jackass. And now, they kill people. Rescue workers using the Jaws of Life are being electrocuted when trying to cut through the doors to get people out. Read the CNN article from Gizmodo.... Continue reading

UMass student officially declared retarded

April 29, 2004 at 01:10 PM

A UMass student has declared his incompetance to the world with an opinion voiced in the UMass school newspaper, The Daily Collegian. His "column" criticizes Pat Tillman and mocks his death, using such hard-hitting journalistic facts as, "I could tell he was that type of macho guy, from his scowling, beefy face on the CNN pictures." It's never a good sign when you have to use the word "probably" a lot in your article. The... Continue reading
