Bush memos a forgery?

September 10, 2004 at 08:19 AM

The memos reported by CBS's 60 Minutes claiming President Bush ignored a direct order from a superior officer and lost his status as a Guard pilot now appear to have been crude forgeries. Read this post from PowerLine that started all the questioning yesterday morning. Lots of interesting updates there including this one. And read CBS's response. And here is ABC's report where Killian's own family disputes the documents veracity and says, "We don't know... Continue reading

Puppy shoots man

September 09, 2004 at 11:33 AM

Some ass clown of a human being was trying to shoot his seven puppies when one of the puppy's paws hit the trigger and caused the gun to fire. Unfortunately, he had already killed three of the dogs and the gunshot only hit him in the wrist.... Continue reading

Nerds against Bush

September 01, 2004 at 08:53 AM

Apparently web developers do leave the house once in a while, as evidenced by this shot of someone protesting Bush with HTML code. This guy must be a Dreamweaver user or something, because we all know that in proper XHTML all tags must be in lowercase. There's no way his site validates. (From Matt Haughey)... Continue reading

MTV crowd boos Kerry daughters

August 30, 2004 at 03:15 PM

I watched a little of the MTV Video Music Awards last night, but unfortunately I missed the best part. John Kerry's daughters came out to till all the twelve year olds watching and in attendance to go out and vote. They got booed loudly and the tall scary looking one actually shushed them like they were children. Go watch the video. The Bush twins apparently were also booed, but you expect that anytime they... Russian plane crashes explained

August 25, 2004 at 04:30 PM

The explanation from Russian officials... "Terrorism, human error or mechanical mishap could have caused one of Russia's worst air tragedies in which two planes crashed almost simultaneously and killed at least 89 people, officials said on Wednesday." So according to the Russian government, something may have caused the two planes to crash. Or maybe it didn't. They're not really sure. But they're covering all their bases. I think they left out "act of God" and... Continue reading

I fear for our future

August 23, 2004 at 09:24 PM

See I told you people were stupid. You absolutely must read these posts and especially the comments. Read about GMail invites, your Hotmail inbox, and hacking your email accounts. There should really be some sort of application process involved in getting on the web. Maybe a mininum SAT score.... Continue reading

Best Buy being sued over "unfair practices"

August 23, 2004 at 08:42 AM

The state of Ohio is suing Best Buy over "a pattern of unfair and deceptive acts and practices." Claiming they don't honor rebates, rebates, and exchange policies, as well as alleging the store sells repackaged items as new. I've pretty much got to call BS on this whole thing. I've probably got more experience dealing with Best Buy than any other man alive (both as a former and employee and all too frequent customer)... Continue reading

John Kerry almost makes me root for the Yankees

July 26, 2004 at 08:41 AM

I really can't stand the Yankees. I mean, I completely despise them and everything they stand for. That was the case till I saw John Kerry's "surprise visit" to the Red Sox - Yankees game last night. Watching SportsCenter this morning and seeing Kerry dorkily and artificially high-fiving the Red Sox players really made me hope the Yankees would come back and win the game. He really looked out of place. I honestly think... Continue reading

Martha Stewart gets jail time

July 16, 2004 at 10:56 AM

Martha Stewart was sentenced to five months in jail and then five more months confined to her home, pending appeal of course. That should be interesting. The part of the article I found most interesting though was that this whole hubbub is because she received an insider tip to sell her IMClone stock before negative news hit, which she did and saved her self a mere $51,000. But if she had never gotten that... Continue reading
