iPod nano announced

ipod nano

Well surprise, surprise.

Apple announced today that they would be discontinuing the iPod mini and announced the new iPod nano. The nano is a flash based player that is about 60% of the size of the mini. It's available in 2GB and 4GB capacities, has a color screen that can display photos, and comes in traditional Apple white as well as black. Oddly enough the headphone port is on the bottom of the player, which might be a problem for me since I workout with my mini on my belt.

When I upgrade my mini (for free thanks to my PRP at Best Buy, probably after Christmas sometime), I'll definitely check out the nano and see if it's a good fit for me.

The IPOD NANO has been announced. Brian Behrend is has a good short description of it. I personally am underwhelmed. Compared to the Mini (which is going bye bye) it seems you are trading 2 gigs for the smaller device,...

It is crazy how it is as thin as a pencil, even thinner than the shuffle. $250 for the 4gb seems like a decent deal to me. By the way, who is Brian Berhard?

Hey, I don't care. I'm just happy people read the site. Plus, their site is actually pretty cool and isn't just a spam site. Most of my trackbacks have been from useless sites like BlogCarnival.

My roommate already got one, the 2gb black. It is so freakin small. Also, it is so thin it makes you think you can snap it in two. Nice screen too. I think I might have to get one.

Christina and I checked it out last week at Best Buy and it's even sleeker in person. Screen looks fantastic and it's smaller and lighter than I thought.
