Olsen twins lactose intolerant

July 07, 2004 at 09:42 AM

Due to the "sensitivity" of the situation regarding Mary-Kate Olsen's eating disorder, their recent "got milk?" ads have been pulled. I guess they figured it would lead to too many obvious jokes. The creepiest thing (other than the look on their faces in that picture) is that when the milk ads were originally released Mary-Kate said, "We wanted to appear in this ad because we love the campaign and we want to help make... Willie's Picnic

July 06, 2004 at 04:48 PM

Overall, Willie's 4th of July Picnic was really fun and something I would recommend to fans of Willie or country music in general. Especially country music fans age 30 or older, as several of the performers are from the 70's and 80's. But I'm not complaining, it was a great mix of young and old artists and all different types of country/rock music. The music itself was great. The only group I had seen live... Continue reading

Happy Fourth of July!

July 04, 2004 at 10:35 AM

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day. Christina and I are off to Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic. It should be a blast. We're gonna see Jack Ingram, Jason Boland, Asleep at the Wheel, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Django Walker, David Allen Coe, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Los Lonely Boys, Merle Haggard, and of course Willie himself.... Acclaim headed for bankruptcy?

July 02, 2004 at 01:04 PM

Acclaim used to make some pretty decent games back in the day. Arch Rivals freaking ruled old school, NBA Jam was one of the most entertaining games of my youth, and the Turok series was very well received. But now they make Mary-Kate and Ashley games, the craptastic All-Star Baseball series, and the Turok franchise has gone down the toilet. So it's little surprise that they've been losing more and more money and are headed... Continue reading

Are frogs low-carb?

July 01, 2004 at 12:10 PM

We've been on the South Beach Diet for almost three weeks now. So far it hasn't been too difficult, but I have had to have like 12,371 more salads than I normally would have had over that time span. Wendy's salads are actually decent, but I haven't had the chance to try McDonald's options. Good thing too, because eventhough seafood is mostly low carb and good for you I don't think I would want a... Continue reading

I've never understood the DDR craze

July 01, 2004 at 09:11 AM

Konami's Dance Dance Revolution has been around in arcades and on PlayStation for a long time and I have never once played it nor have I ever had the urge to. I just don't get it. It looks like an entertaining experience in the arcade, the people playing/watching seem to be enjoying themselves. Maybe it's my complete lack of rhythm. Or my utter distaste for dance music. The PlayStation and PS2 versions make even... Continue reading
