This just in... Mandy Moore is hot

May 18, 2004 at 10:17 PM

Holy crap Mandy Moore gets better looking every damn day. She started off cute, then got really pretty, and now she's absolutely freaking smoking. Andy Roddick must really be kicking himself right now. At the same premiere, Lindsay Lohan further spiraled into superwhoredom. She's only 17 but she's hanging out with Paris Hilton (queen of Skankonia) and her boobs are out more and more with every picture you see. There's a ton of them out... Continue reading

Randy Johnson perfect versus Braves

May 18, 2004 at 09:56 PM

I got lucky and flipped to Braves game in the seventh and noticed they were hitless against the Diamondbacks. Turns out they hadn't been on base and Randy Johnson was throwing a perfect game. (Braves struck 18 times Sunday, they're not hitting for shit.) He got six more outs and completed the perfecto, you should've seen how excited his catcher (Robby Hammock) was. He was jumping up and down, and Randy was just smiling... Continue reading

HP Photosmart 945

May 18, 2004 at 12:13 PM

After about 30 minutes on Ground Glass and 45 minutes looking at camera reviews, I couldn't resist NewEgg's price for the HP Photosmart 945. It has gotten really good user reviews and has awesome specs, I figured what the hell. After all, I'm getting two paychecks this summer.... Continue reading

MT 3.0 installed

May 18, 2004 at 11:14 AM

I installed MT3 last night so bear with me if anything is acting a little funky. For one thing, the new commenting system requires TypeKey to authenticate commenters or else I will have to approve your comment before it will post. It's a pain I know, but judging by the spam comments my cruddy little site has gotten in the last three or four days (like three a day) I understand the reasoning for it.... Continue reading

This is why I want a new camera

May 18, 2004 at 08:50 AM

I've been looking at a lot of digital cameras lately (in the $500 range and 4 or 5 MP with at least 8x optical zoom), and this guy's site is one of the reasons why. I know he's taking a lot of his shots with fancy SLR cameras, but he took all the shots here with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera which is about the range I'm looking at. It's all about the... Our new apartment

May 16, 2004 at 09:17 PM

Christina and I went to Dallas this past weekend apartment hunting. We had been looking at AMLI apartments in Austin, so that's where we started in Dallas. We found one we liked pretty quickly. It's called AMLI at Bishop's Gate and it's right down the road from my future work. It looks much nicer in person. It's not too new, but it's mostly made up of red brick (our first floor apartment will be... Continue reading

MovableType 3.0

May 15, 2004 at 09:22 AM

I've only been using MovableType (Version 2.6) for about a month now, but I've already come to love the power and ease of use it allows me. And up until now it's all been FREE! It's a great product and just about every web design blog I've visted uses it, the installed userbase must be absolutely enormous. With the release of version 3.0 comes a new pricing structure, or should I say A pricing structure.... Continue reading

Braves vs. Braves

May 14, 2004 at 09:03 PM

The Braves are playing Milwaukee right now on TBS and it's Braves vs. Braves. The Brewers are wearing throwback uniforms, so they're dressed as the Milwaukee Braves. I like the uniforms a lot. They're pretty similar to the current home Atlanta uni's but with more color in the tomahawk and a more offensive Indian logo on the sleeve.... Continue reading

La Toya London is nothing special

May 12, 2004 at 09:09 PM

Shut up with all the whining and outrage about La Toya London being voted off American Idol tonight. Yes she's been good and no she wasn't the worst out of the remaining four contestants, but she's not that great either. She is a good singer and decent performer, but there is absolutely nothing special about her. She has nothing unique about her at all. Fantasia Barrino has a very unique voice (maybe too unique, I... My kids aren't that smart

May 12, 2004 at 08:56 PM

A California high school student was caught taking a picture of a test with his cell phone, and the school district banned cell phones entirely. Not like I give a damn if they do, but none of my kids would be smart enough to pull that off. And if they were smart enough, then my tests would be so easy they wouldn't need to freaking cheat.... I hate kids

May 12, 2004 at 11:04 AM

You're a senior in high school. You've been an idiot all year and with 2 weeks to go you decide you'd like to graduate. I'm not going to spend my time or take away from my time with other students to teach you a year's worth of material. Pay attention and put out some effort or you're not worth my time.... Sexual equality

May 11, 2004 at 11:28 AM

How come when a man and a woman get engaged, the man has to pay thousands of dollars for this: I think when you get engaged, guys should get this: Or maybe this:... Continue reading
