ESPN.com RealTime Scoreboards

April 15, 2004 at 07:09 PM

These things are freaking awesome, but you have to be an ESPN Insider to access them. It's called ESPN.com RealTime Scoreboard, I found it and used it to follow the first couple of rounds of the NCAA Tourney while I was at work. Now I'm using it to follow ALL the baseball games in progress while getting pitch by pitch info on the Braves or Astros. Here's what ESPN says about it... ESPN RealTime is... Continue reading

ESPN Page 2 - Baseball's all-time all-hair team

April 15, 2004 at 06:28 PM

There's some pretty funny pics in this article. Sparked by Johnny Damon's new Passion of the Christ hair cut (or lack thereof), they look back at all the weird/bad/good haircuts. Afros, mullets, and handle-bar mustaches abound. Check it out.... Continue reading

This just in: Macs suck, iPods rule

April 15, 2004 at 09:45 AM

Apple sold 57,000 more iPods last quarter than they did Macs. For some insane reason Steve Jobs is pretending to be happy about it. The really sad part is that 749,000 morons actually bought those POS computers. Here's the article.... Continue reading

UConn idiots

April 15, 2004 at 09:23 AM

This is absolutely awesome and incredibly appalling all at once. There are some really stupid freaking people out there, most of them appear to attend colleges in the NE that win baseketball championships (UConn, Michigan State). How drunk/stupid do you have to be to do this? And how small must your penis be if you think it makes you cool. My favorite one is number four. This is a must click link.... Continue reading

I've got tons to do today...

April 15, 2004 at 08:45 AM

So I've got an interview tomorrow with Whole Foods. I'm really excited about it because it's a friggin' awesome company, its in downtown Austin, the pay is decent, the job sounds good, I wouldn't have to program Java etc, and I would be able to travel. I would be traveling up to 30% of the time to places like Chicago, Maryland, Florida, and California. That sounds pretty fun, but I hope I'm not gone too... Continue reading

Horns DE Pittman to transfer after semester

April 15, 2004 at 08:28 AM

This sucks. Chase Pittman, a soph DE, is transferring from Texas at the end of the semester. That's a shame because that's one of the positions where the Horns have the LEAST depth. He would've definitely played and helped a lot this year. My gut feeling is that he's tired of only being remembered as Cole Pittman's little bro. (For those who don't know, Cole was also a Texas football player who was killed in... Continue reading

Can I put Dontrelle Willis in my fantasy OF?

April 15, 2004 at 08:06 AM

Dontrelle Willis is pitching pretty well to start the season, but he's freaking hitting the ball even better. So far he is 6 for 6 this year, with a homer, a double, and 3 RBIs. That's better than half my fantasy team's outfielders are doing. I've got several guys with no RBIs. Oh, and he's still got an ERA of 0.00. Pretty impressive, but I still think he's a chump. Last night's Marlins game.... Continue reading

PCMag: New Google email to use targeted ads

April 14, 2004 at 09:46 PM

Google's new email service, GMail, is planning on using targeted ads that are based on the text in your email. So I guess if I receive an email about last night's Astros game, it'll bombard me with ads/links about baseball. I (and most people) are scared shitless by this. The service itself seems to have a lot to offer (one GIGABYTE of mail storage compared to 10 MB in Yahoo! Mail) so I hope they... Continue reading

I'm stressed

April 14, 2004 at 10:12 AM

My current and future job(s) are adding up to really stress the shit out of me right now. I'm tired and I'm tired of being tired. I'm couting the days, hours, and minutes till I'm done as a teacher. You couldn't believe how much I hate it and how it makes me feel. Just being here and around these kids drains me of all my energy and any good feelings. (Luckily just the opposite applies... That's not your mother, it's a man, baby!

April 08, 2004 at 09:18 AM

Okay so these commercials have been freaking me out for a couple weeks. It's not near as creepy as the Quizno's ferret fetuses, but it's definitely been weirding me out. It only comes on the Style Network and it's for one of their shows, The Brini Maxwell Show. At first Ms. Maxwell just seems odd, but after seeing the commercial comes on a few more times I started to notice something. Ms. Maxwell is... Continue reading
