Homeless people not only uninvited guests at Dallas apartments

April 20, 2004 at 08:47 AM

Back in the good old days, all you had to remember to stay safe from Texas snakes was "red and yellow kill a fellow". Now if you live in a Dallas apartment complex, your last words just might be, "Holy shit! That was a cobra!"... Continue reading

MovableType vs. TypePad

April 19, 2004 at 12:56 PM

Okay, so I've been debating switching from TypePad to MovableType. I'm currently 5 days into my 30 free days here on TypePad, so I have a little bit of time to decide. If I switch to MovableType I'm also going to have purchase webspace somewhere new, because I'm sure my UT webspace doesn't support it. Plus it's sooo freaking slow. But then MovableType is free, so it's all a matter of where I want my... Continue reading

Cyber-squatting mother fuckers

April 19, 2004 at 12:28 PM

So I had like the most brilliant idea ever the other night to contact Lance and see if I could design/maintain an official site for him. I figured I could do it for free for him (have him pay for expenses though) and just use the site to show people my capabilities. Plus he could even recommend me to other people that needed sites. There was no www.lanceberkman.com on Saturday. Now look, some stupid ass-holes... Continue reading

Freaking sweet: Webcam Pet Dish

April 19, 2004 at 08:30 AM

This may be the coolest damn thing I'ver ever seen, not overly useful but freaking cool. It's an automatic pet feeder that you can even control via the Internet. Hop on the website and tell the thing to dispense food and even SEE your pet from the integrated webcam. I must have this NOW! It's called ISeePet, go check it out.... Continue reading

Braves are playing great

April 18, 2004 at 09:38 PM

And are only one game back in the division. The just swept a three game series from the NL East leading Marlins. They played well in all three games, and even more encouraging is that Mike Hampton looked great today. Seven innings pitched, and only one run given up. Hope he's rebounded. Bad news though, even bigger than the game was that Chipper Jones was carted off the field after pulling his hamstring. It looked... Continue reading

Two things I can't stand

April 18, 2004 at 02:48 PM

There's two things that have always disturbed me that people do: eat ranch dressing on pizza and dip french fries into Frostys. That's fucking weird and it needs to be stopped. The really bad thing is that it's usually the same damn person that does both. Ranch dressing is gross just in general, but if you do like it it's for salad and salad only. Weirdos. And freaking french fries and frostys? That's just not... Continue reading

My interview

April 17, 2004 at 02:48 PM

So my interview with Whole Foods was yesterday afternoon in Austin. I guess it went pretty well, I thought I did pretty decent and hope they were impressed by me. We'll see. I left work at 2:30, my dad covered my 8th period class for me. I guess there are good things about working the same place your dad does. The interview wasn't till 4:30 but I was worried traffic would be bad and I... Continue reading

Wired: Onion Taken Seriously, Film at 11

April 17, 2004 at 01:12 PM

This is pretty funny, you crazy Asians you. For those of you who read The Onion, you know it's a pretty hilarious but very fake news site. Current stories include New Negative Campaign Ads Blast Voters Directly and Rumsfeld Looking Forward To Secretary's Day. Well apparently the Beijing Evening News doesn't catch on too quick. Read this.... Continue reading

Why the hell is there a WNBA mock draft?

April 16, 2004 at 09:05 PM

You're kidding me right? A fucking WNBA mock draft on ESPN.com? what a joke, quit pretending anyone cares. The media has been trying to shove women's basketball down our throats for several years now, and I think we've had about enough now. We don't like it, it's freaking boring.... Continue reading

The great Lamar race

April 16, 2004 at 09:42 AM

Okay, my interview today is on Lamar and 6th and I knew the traffic was a bitch there, but I didn't know it was this bad. Columnist John Kelso decided to test what would be fast to do at 5pm in Austin, drive down Lamar from Town Lake to 24th or ride your bike along the Shoal Creek trail to get there. Well the bicyclist (who appears to be about a 50+ year old woman)... Continue reading

ESPN.com - Mazzone for the Hall?

April 16, 2004 at 09:12 AM

I've been a Braves for more about 12 years now. I became one while watching Francisco Cabrera single home Sid Bream in 1992. But I've stayed one because John Schuerholz Bobby Cox and Leo Mazzone have fielded entertaining and excellent teams over the years. Plus watching Cox yell at the umpires and Mazzone rock hypnotically and nervously is always fun. Schuerholz and Cox are almost sure to be in the Hall of Fame someday,... Continue reading

WTF is a cobb salad and why is everyone eating them?

April 15, 2004 at 08:57 PM

Over the last year and a half, everyone and their mother now sells cobb salads. Freaking McDonalds sells one. What the hell is it? It looks disgusting. Is it healthy or something? We really need to put a stop to eating shit that doesn't taste good. Being healthy is great and all, but you can take your tofu and shove it up your ass.... Continue reading
